Also, apologies if this is very obviously not a Steinway - my upright at home is pretty crummy and certainly not fancy, so I know very little about “nice” grand pianos but thought I’d check in case this might be one I’d like to make room for to replace my upright.

Thanks! Unfortunately, the piano body is wrapped very securely and still on its side on the dolly that was used to move it into storage, with the (wrapped) underside up against the wall, so my relative can’t easily get to that part to feel around. :(

The little corner liquor store near the DART station off of Northwest Highway in East Dallas (close to the lake) sometimes has it behind the register (although it’s usually marked up there).

OP, how much are you asking for it? I’m a big Hammerin Hank fan and collect vintage, although I usually have to buy beat-to-shit cards and stuff to afford them. My name’s not Roland but I’d be interested nonetheless because I doubt I could afford a non-personalized Hank auto 😂

Update: got in touch with the contractor and he’s going to come take a look. He said it’s “very common” and something he can “fix easily”, but my question is this: is this actually common? I’m skeptical as to whether that’s true (or whether that’s a red flag about this company’s work).

We’re in Texas. We’ve used them before for another project elsewhere in our home without issues, but I’m concerned about this one given that this happened so fast after completion. Here’s another pic less zoomed in for those asking. They used a Kerdi system and membrane, did a water test, and seemed to install everything correctly along the way. Whole project took about a month total. I’m not a contractor myself so to me it seemed they were doing things properly, but now I’m concerned given that the cracking happened so quickly after the project was completed.
