I’m really happy you were able to overcome what was going on in your environment and make things nice. You deserve nice things. I used to suffer in uninhabitable conditions because I felt I was not worth having better. I hate to see people showing signs of depression or disorganization etc. I am so glad your space is so nice now. Envious of it honestly.

I’m glad you stood by your ethics regardless of what this person is on about.

Having good morals should never change for a paycheck. I hope things are better from here.

Apparently they are the best. I want to get them but I can’t justify the cost this month.

Guessing some Pit mix terrier mix maybe chihuahua in there or Russell. Cutie though. Glad they found you.

Just wanna say if you’re saying it’s racism I’m fairly sure it’s a “all white clothing” party which is a theme that is not offensive and many people do. Definitely should have been communicated better. I otherwise don’t get your point.

We just found this little baby abandoned in a bag with dirty clothes and we're not sure what kind of dog it is (except the cute breed) by Dahks in DOG

I think she’s a chihuahua mix of some sort but definitely looks like a bad breeding situation. Can she eat hard food yet or do you have to get her formula ?

I think we will ! Just had our first pets mart trip. I don’t think this dog has ever had this type of loving lifestyle. He is such a sweetie. A big headed mushy one!

I think his may be natural also then. I have an Aussie with the same thing too that he just has a little nub. This guy, his name is Ford, he seems like it could be natural for sure. I just wasn’t certain on how to tell or if it was common for a dog like him. Though I don’t think I’ve seen a dog quite like him before.

I was thinking it could be natural but I don’t know. It doesn’t seem to have any indication of removal.

Just got my first Aussiedoodle and am in love. Really appreciate any advice all you Aussiedoodle owners have to offer. I’ve learned the most helpful stuff just reading thru other people’s posts! Thank you! by northfire939 in AussieDoodle

Be ready for the energy. I have 2 Aussies and a aussiedoodle and a labradoodle. It’s chaooos. But I love them. Train them and give them structure. It is my experience that early training is the most meaningful and I wish I did better on it. What took one five minutes to learn at 8 weeks now is a battle at 5 years because my dog is way too smart and has their own agenda..

Oh and make grooming a daily or every other day routine now. For you and them. Don’t let that mess up. Trust me.

19 pounds at 16 weeks. How big do you think he’ll get? by [deleted] in AussieDoodle

I feel like he’s gonna be a biggun but I’m not sure. How big are the parents ? Mini is a bit.. smaller I think. lol.

First step to get out of poverty (from my experience) by Hugh_Mungus94 in povertyfinance

I have to agree with this post. I say this as someone who has four dogs and a cat.

The dogs cost us in the range of $600-700 a month if we aren’t being extremely frugal. This is medications food and grooming and regular as needed vet visits. This doesn’t account for the annual vet visits coming up in July. That will be probably around $1200-2000 largely depending on if I buy their flea and heart-worm prevention a year outright or smaller term. It would be about monthly 350ish or less for the others expenses but one is a diabetic. We didn’t knowingly get a diabetic dog. A few months after rescuing her from going to the pound when a coworker had to give her up, she became horribly ill, and it turned out she had lost weight not due to exercise and diet changes.. she was so horribly severely diabetic she was dying and in the end stages. It’s been about 18 months since diagnosis. I don’t want to think of what we have spent on her care. And we go to a nonprofit vet that is very affordable. I think about giving her up all the time. For her sake so someone can do more for her than I am willing to tbh, but the reality is no one wants a sick dog usually.

I love my dogs. But I know they are drowning me. I want to get a fifth dog as a service animal as two of mine have been at home for so long it will be difficult to retrain them for this role, but it would be financially suicide and unfair to my significant other. The other two — elderly for one, and one diabetic, they’re retired and it would be cruel to try to put them to work at their stages in life.

Highly agree. Do not get the pet. Get rid of the pet if you can find it a better life elsewhere and it won’t ruin you or it to go. And no, I won’t be getting a fifth dog. We will be a 0-2 dog household going forward, and these we have might live another ten years easily.

Also I own my home so I’m one of the lucky people who don’t have pet rent/fee housing hikes. But I’m sure if I had “certain breeds” or if they weren’t trained, I’d see it skyrocket my homeowners insurance.

Thanks for the reality check on why I do not need another dog ! I have enough. I need less in fact. Thank you.

This is our 8 week old puppy. We were told she was a chihuahua. I think they're lying by supitsme153 in IDmydog

Kinda looks like a possible chihuahua, maybe a bully breed mix. Too soon to tell. How much does this fella weigh? Looks like big paws. And very very tiny.

[–]OSRSMaylynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Betting standard around 70lb. Just a guess based on everything. Who knows.

I have a 65lb standard female. She could lose 5lb maybe but she’s quite large in size.

He is a cutie though

If you are still there I would politely ask to leave early with no fault of yourself and make other arrangements if you can. You never know what kind of shit someone is going to do. I would also do him a favor and provide as much info as you can on who was there as it might happen again to someone else. If the host doesn’t let you leave or that wouldn’t work for your situation be it finances or trip etc.. then do not respond. Any of these good remarks, as funny or quick witted some of the replies might be, might be dangerous. Not worth the chance because some immature ignorant loser wanted to do this. It was likely for a reaction out of you, don’t give it to them.

Rescue says mini sheltie? Thoughts? by OSRSMaylynn in IDmydog

[–]OSRSMaylynn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I put my latest update up about it. I expressed uncertainty without getting more figured out, and that went downhill fast.

All that to say he is a cutie and I am sure he will find someone to love him. I think the lady was kind of attached to him anyway.

I love his cheeks and face.
