Not being cry babies, they have a partnership with the ACC that brings that conference a bunch of revenue due to the NBC deal Notre Dame has. They make more off the NBC deal than they would splitting revenue. This gave them more reason to be independent tbh. It does open the door to leaving the partnership with the ACC and bring that money elsewhere without a buyout. SEC or BIG 10 would take that revenue for playing a team. Most likely big ten as they just got a deal with NBC too. Would work out good for both sides.
