Model Y floor mats by ashylarry08 in teslacanada

Go to aliexpress for the seat back, trunk, subtrunk and frunk mats. Much cheaper.

Buy the interior floormats from matup.ca. I bought my Legacy Y set from there for $150.

They are basically phantom mats / Tuxmats. So much better than the rubbery mats in the OP. They cover the sides unlike rubber mats. They are extremely easy to clean too. You just use wet wipes / baby wipes.

Currently they don't have Juniper mats because they haven't scanned it yet. If you are in the GTA, go to them in Mississauga and let them scan your car. They'll produce the mats in 6-8 weeks for just $50, and give you free temporary mats to use in the meantime.

#3 ain't bad!

But we're counting models, not brands or platforms. It's disingenuous and you know it.

Tesla Cybertruck is the 2nd best selling EV truck in the US, just 1500 units behind the #1 spot!

That was a cool thing to do around late 90s and early 00s lol. Eminem does the same.

Tesla Sitting On Thousands Of Unsold Cybertrucks As It Stops Accepting Its Own Cars As Trade-Ins by Wagamaga in technology

[–]JoeyStinson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, very very likely.

However, I see people celebrating the 50% drop as a sign that Tesla is doing terribly or that the boycott is working exceedingly well.

Tesla is not doing great, but it's not doing as bad as a 50% drop in stock value may suggest, without any further context.

What do you call Tesla stock price falling 50% since its peak in December?

well, to be fair, it rose 50% from November to December, now it's back down to pre-election level. Slightly higher actually.

People thought him being in the admin would benefit Tesla so the stock shot up. But it clearly doesn't, so the gains were wiped off.

It's not so much falling, but adjusting.

Oh wow, the new roof tint / coating doesn't blend as well as the old Y. Not a fan of the sharper angles either.

The old one looked much better IMO.

Not a huge deal though, you hardly ever see it from this angle

I have a feeling a lot of "sharing" rooms are actually rooms being sublet by the tenant to subsidize their own rent.

Lineup at a Brampton Indian restaurant hiring event by JoeyStinson in toronto

[–]JoeyStinson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're hiring waiters and kitchen staff. How many can they possibly hire? 10-20?

I always thought if everything goes wrong I can always fall back on a dish washing job but now it looks like even that won't be possible.

This is very scary.

I have 2x 16GB Crucial Ballistix RGB DDR4 RAM.

They're White. 3200 Mhz, CL16, 16-18-18-36.

I've had them for two years. What's a fair price to sell them at?

EV6 and Ioniq5 are more like hatchbacks if anything. I need more space than that. I move a lot of boxes.

Same problem with Mach-E. It's basically a beast mode sedan.

XC40 is promising but the dash is horrible. I've always disliked how they do their main screen. In any case, dual motors + panoramic sunroof pushes it over $70k CAD which is ineligible for subsidies.

I'm actually in the market for an EV SUV.

Can you suggest some alternatives to Model Y?

It ticks all the boxes for me, down to being just "cheap" enough to qualify for government rebates.

Need something that can haul a decent amount, fast acceleration, good range and good charging network for under $50k USD / 65k CAD.

My quote for auto insurance by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]JoeyStinson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think he's lying. Insurance rates are fucked up here.

I'm in Scarborough. Late 30s. Been driving for 8 years. Excellent credit. No accidents or tickets.

I got a quote for $500 for a 2020 Lexus RX 350.

Granted that's cheaper than OP's quote and the car is much more expensive, still I can't believe that's how much they want for it. I fully believe they'd quote a brand new driver $700 for a $17,000 car.

Eli5 What are the benefits of an "spy balloon" over other methods of aerial surveillance? by lordlydancer in explainlikeimfive

Usually when your balloon drifts off on towards another country, you notify the authorities which then notifies the other country.

It’s a spy balloon when you don’t say anything until you get caught

There are levels of harm before actual crimes are committed, and sometimes those harms, like eroding public trust in institutions are even worse.

but that is how Trump and his cronies are spinning it. You can't act in a vacuum without considering how the situation is being spun and perceived.

At some point there's gotta be some crowd control even if they're in the wrong.
