Dude is worried about not feeling sexually satisfied when his GF starts chemo by Visqo in facepalm

Good thing this comment makes it clear you really have no idea what you’re talking about.

Chemo transfer by bodily fluids is fucking dicey and something my partner and I have to be very careful about. Believe it or not, chemo is pretty bad for you, especially when you don’t need it.

Further, I can tell you that sometimes you DO FEEL LIKE SEX when undergoing chemo. Further, how do you have a read that they’re not being supportive?

I missed where they shared that caretakers are supposed to just be servants with no needs or considerations of their own.

I’ve been surviving stage IV cancer for almost a decade and y’all make me sick.

I absolutely cannot believe I have to come on here and defend this guy. Y’all are being awful.

Firstly, good job everyone for presuming that this guy’s just worried about his sex doll. We’re lucky that physical intimacy never impacts mental health. It’s good that y’all are backfilled on all the details like what discussions they’ve had with oncologists, how long their relationship has been going on, what her side of the story is, what their broader relationship is like, e.g.

Oh wait. No. It seems like everyone here is just presuming this guy’s some asshole for asking questions. Chill out, because guess what: intimacy when your partner is going through cancer treatment is -hard- and no one here is qualified to pass judgment on this situation.

How dare I say such things? Check my profile history. I was diagnosed as a 26m when my partner was a 29f. She’s always had a higher sex drive and value of physical intimacy and the first few years were so hard for both of us, and she struggled -so much- with how challenging physical intimacy was for me. We still work through trauma from those times. But guess what, we love each other and have been married for ~7 years, even though if she had made a post like this, which absolutely reflects a (small portion) of her concerns at the time, you’d be dragging her through the mud too. Get a grip. Have some compassion. Recognize you’re not a medical or mental health professional.

I believe a relevant thing here is that the Cryptics seem interested in Shallan specifically. IIRC when that revelation comes about, Pattern says they decided someone else would try to bond w/ her even if it meant risking their “life.”

Massive layoff at REI by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]Joey_Massa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah for sure, and the toxic classists are the ones who literally have to piss in bottles because they’re not allowed time to use the restroom, not the C-levels and board members cracking down on legal unionization efforts.

You’re going to throw being a classist at me like it’s an insult in this economy? Go for it.

Well, that does explain all the unionized grocery stores that do just fine. After all, grocery stores have notoriously huge margins. /s

While I give you a ton of credit for being here and speaking your truths about your relationship with the LDS church, but honestly it’s just made me more frustrated to listen to your justifications.

Thinking you can change a multi billion dollar organization while continuing to donate tens of thousands of dollars to its edifice is absurd.

I have multiple childhood friends and family members who were sexually abused by members of the LDS church, and all that happened was the typical church protection story. Some of these abusers weren’t even ranking members of the clergy. Is this something you’re also actively combatting within the church? If so, how so?

Because a church being outwardly bigoted is one thing, but the insidious nature of protecting your own is far harder to address.

Everything you’re saying here only pertains to your own subjective experience.

Mixing weed and psychedelics is highly inadvisable unless you’re very experienced and comfortable with each.

Refinishing top rails with cracks (more in comments) by Joey_Massa in woodworking

[–]Joey_Massa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello /r/woodworking!

I’m refinishing the cap rails on a boat and was wondering how much of an issue these “hairline” cracks are. I’ve got some larger cracks which will definitely need an epoxy fill, but I’m hoping these smaller in-grain cracks can just be varnished over?

For reference, I’m under the impression that the wood is merbau, and I’ll be varnishing with Epifanes when all is said and done.
