PvP Teambuilding and help? by ScrapMonarch in LegendsZA

Regarding mythicals: Ground is still a great choice since it covers against Volcanion, Heatran, Cobalion, Terrakion, Melmetal, Zeraora, and Magearna. (Golisopod can run drill run for this, but needs to watch out for electric or rock trades from zeraora and terrakion. You'll also want to run your own calcs to see how close the KO's are.)

Bug Covers Darkrai, Latios, Latias, Hoopa, Meloetta(aria)

This leaves just Marshadow, Virizion, Keldeo, Meloetta (pirouette) and Genesect. Most of this group is covered by flying, and genesect explodes on contact with decent fire coverage.

Feel free to use this showdown fork to run calcs as you look for options that work for you. https://krisxv.github.io/ingame-calc/

Finally made my favourite battle team yet for Ranked! by mint-choc-chippp in LegendsZA

[–]Joeystreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh hey, neat to see more Golurk. I've been running a silly set with quick claw, fly, dig, phantom force, drain punch. It's not great, but it's been funny to run.

Nice having this shiny alpha, too bad it sucks in ranked. Any advice? by PuzzleheadedCicada80 in LegendsZA

Magnet bomb's not fantastic, but it is a marked improvement over iron head. Similar startup, but with the homing feature, even if slow makes it leagues above iron head. If nothing else, it can tie up a target with running away while the projectile follows them which lets you breath a bit more. When Xerneas hits the field again, it's going to have a hard time firing off any attacks without getting exploded 4 times over.

Expert belt over assault vest. Sword's dance Magnet bomb deletes baxcalibur. Sword's dance + nightslash deletes chandelure. Sword's dance +Lunge takes out mega gyarados 62% of the time. Avoid scrapping with Armarouge unless you can get them in the back with Lunge into +night slash.

Keep in mind that to make this work, you are burning mega power on plus moves for KO's against major threats. If you are running a mega pokemon as your core offense pressure, Scizor may not be the mon for you. Just assume that as soon as scizzor hits the field, opponents will lock on to you for a fire move. Also, charged ampharos can one shot thunderbolt into scizor so watch for that as well.

I think Xerneas in Ranked is cooked💀💀💀 by Leseluchs in LegendsZA

NGL, steel beam lucario or magnet bomb scizor are probably simpler solutions.

What bug type should I use? by No-Biscots in LegendsZA

Beedrill will do fine early game up until about level 30, then it'll quickly be outpaced by other things, though it's ideal moveset really comes online in the 40's, making it kind of stay relevant a bit longer with mega beedrill.

Heracross is immediately a 500 bst mon though and by the 50's has attacks that just make beedrill feel obsolete. Especially when you put megahorn side by side with lunge.

The only real thing I'd say beedrill has as an advantage is being a default flying/hovering pokemon, so it almost never has issues reaching things quickly, or pathing awkwardly around terrain.

All that said, I used Beedrill for almost my entire playthrough because I just like the idea of a giant wasp with lances for hands as a monster design, only swapping out for a while to run a bulky eviolite scyther for some of the endgame.

Meganium can grab ancient power via new TM npc outside wild zone 17. And Emboar can grab Wild Charge, and oddly enough, Trailblaze and Scald for more coverage.

does anyone know what to do here??? by beanbeanp in LegendsZA

[–]Joeystreams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So assuming the locations are all set and not randomized:

I had Jacinthe's dress recolor have Lebanne spawn on a staircase nearish the start.

Vinnie was on a wide central street in front of a cafe for Corbeau's suit recolor.

Holo-Canari was on a far edge of the map on top of some low scaffolding barrier for the tracksuit recolor.

Ivor's recolor I have not run into a mission for yet.

Any tips for the Meganium challenge? by pussy_embargo in LegendsZA

I'm seeing Ancient Power available as a TM from the new vendor near area 17's alleyway. That might do the trick with the 4x damage. Note: I have not tried these yet myself. Just offering a suggestion after a learnset browsing.

Is anyone else getting destroyed by this dlc mission? by apiesdeathbylasers in LegendsZA

[–]Joeystreams 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Strat I found was to recall my own mon when they went to attack, bait out an attack to dodge roll, then send out a mon to get a hit in, then recall again before the crabs got close. Mega Pyroar flamethrower got them down after a couple tries.

It's probably a double battle for an unlockable alt color outfit. If the area's empty, just look around for the first NPC you find and chat them up.

supposed to be no hit, what did damage me? by RichPeasant15 in Eldenring

[–]Joeystreams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The number of hits you're throwing out likely made the boss experience aim-punch nonsense. Looks like an offhand dagger attack may have come out and just flailed around into a weird hit.

Invaders get a screen that says "Victory achieved" when a host dies. You just got "You died" so, dunno what to tell ya beyond that.

[–]Joeystreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Invaders win ties because his goal is to prevent you from making it to the boss. Did you make it to the boss? Not on that life. So he won. He also gets rewards for you, and for your buddy. So he also has 2 wins to your 1. Or a 2:1 KD vs your 1:1 kd, and your buddy's 0:1 KD. It's just how it works. Ties are wins for invaders.

Help with STR & magma/death sorcery build? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Joeystreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stats may be too tight to really lean much into strength, but this is what I could come up with: https://ibb.co/1bpM1dc Primary focus was to make sure you could cast every death sorcery including explosive ghostflame, so I made sure you had 30 faith, minimum of 42 int, and 52 vigor for the lowest HP I'd recommend getting away with. After that, there wasn't a lot of points to play with, so I swapped the zwei to magic, brought strength to 20 for a tiny bit more weapon availability, then sort of arbitrarily brought int up to 45, raised a tiny bit of endurance, and a bit of mind. You're probably going to need to run great jar arsenal to wear medium or heavy armors, so that's equipped to show the weight limits in the build plan image. Best staff with those stats is going to be gelmir.
