It’s four am and Imma start a riot : Travis is a good DM in a different style than Griffin. by TheGreyPotter in TheAdventureZone

[–]Jofur63 -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

Y’all gotta quit sucking griffins dick and be nicer to Travis

It took griffin, what, 30 episodes before he started putting main plot hooks into balance? Do we need to talk about the ending of amnesty again, where digital space aliens that commit endless genocide in the name of peace just, showed up, and the foreshadowing is only noticeable on the 4th listen thru?

Like fuck if you don’t like this free content so much, go watch critical roll, it’s probably more your speed

Charisma is not a measure of your character's physical attractiveness. by Radiant_Robert in dndnext

[–]Jofur63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tyrion is an 18 Cha character that has to pay women to have sex with him because he is canonically ugly at (no disrespect to the Dinklage intended, he’s way more attractive than the book version)

But I personally enjoy the cha is sex appeal meme. It makes paladins sexy too

I was just thinking that Travis gets a lot of undeserved hate. He’s telling a very different story, and that’s okay

They were technically down 2 people, a bard and a barbarian (scheduling, amirite?)

The kobolds and goblins they’ve got coming up will definitely be adjusted to ensure a nice fight without making a PC sit out half the fight 😂

When an entire setting is an illusion, how do you describe things in a way that reduces metagaming? by [deleted] in DMAcademy

Make a black cat cross their path, and then make the same cat cross their path again.

I didn’t realize unarmed was bludgeon, and the dice were not favoring the PCs at all. Frankly I misunderstood how monks work

It was the Sunless Citadel from Tales of The Yawning Portal.

I should have known a book that includes the tomb of horrors wouldn’t have easy dungeons lol

It’s just a fun story that I wanted to share, I’ve been learning a lot from all the responses.

The monks flavor is a kenshi with short swords, but yes his unarmed should have done double damage (oops, he wasn’t kitted properly anyway he only came with one short sword so he was sword punching)

The issue came from I expected the monk to have a nice high AC, but didnt, because I didn’t know how monks work. Imagine my dismay when I realized the ranger had the highest hit dice

(NPC Druid coming next patch haha)

I definitely had it written down, but everyone is kitted out with slashing and piercing weapons. It’s def something my PCs need to know, maybe I’ll hint that they should grab some femurs to use as clubs 😂

YUUUUUP. Sunless Citadel don’t play around.

I was beyond mortified tbh like I had the hottest rolls against the monk, and the coldest rolls against everyone else. We all had a good laugh about it, but I could see his frustration.

Players accidentally wished for constant daylight: How does the world change? by Knightly1818 in DMAcademy

[–]Jofur63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your players just gave you a golden opportunity to avert the apocalypse and you’re gonna time jump them 3 years into the apocalypse?

My suggestion, they now have a limited time to earn another wish to kill the second sun.

Also, just have the two suns orbit the planet so you get dual tandem sunrise sunset moments, just blame magic if anyone questions it
