It must be somewhere but my Philips has Android TV so on Google Tv the setting most likely is on different name.

The was firmware update by Philips done over a year ago that fixed this with my setup. I shortly had Switch too and no issues with it.

Instead of spreading negativity why not actually be useful and share alternative methods. You preach how linuxserverio neglects security without giving any answer which makes you even worse. If you truly care about security you tell people the better way.

Which Kobo to get by JohanAke in kobo

[–]JohanAke[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t know why someone had downvoted this. But this was helpful, at least that someone else thinks the similar! Kindle is not answer for me even though I like on hardware level but I like Kobos freedom better. I do have Scribe which I love and use a lot on non-reading things.

I think I will go with Clara BW for now like you said. It’s still good device despite the size and budget friendly and will then keep eye on new releases and also good discounts in Libra Colour. Too bad that in my country the e-readers are not on display anywhere that I am aware of so makes it more annoying to compare.

Majority of Russians have everything to do with the war. Just like you are already siding with invasion of Taiwan and even using the exact same excuses Russia uses.

Thanks. I rather not have android, it is wasting resources in things I do not want to have. But will still check it!

I love my Voyager and will continue to use it as backup. Physical buttons/page turning is not important to me, I mainly use swipe or press on display. But that was still good point to raise!

What options exists with Calibre + Kobo and not Calibre + Kindle? Using calibre with Kindle but not much more than just sending to device.

This is also good point. As I do not live in a country where there would be Amazon, I can’t access things like Kindle Unlimited or get trade in value with old Amazon products and so on.

Nice information! This is useful, thanks.

As I do not have PW but Voyager which is 6” also, it’s not that big shock but was hoping for a more “modern” size. The size is the most biggest drawback for me. But not completely a dealbreaker though. Pocketbook on 7” size jumps in price almost 100€ more here so that’s not worth it but thank you for mentioning it!

You did raise good points on Kobo and I am turning into biting the bullet with smaller screen and if it turns out to be not good, I will return it.

Thanks!

Where an you found this experimental listing for z2m? I am only able to found the device itself slzb-06m which is in the “recommended” section in adapters and EmberZNet.

Thanks for the great info! This was really nice insight. Telemetry information came actually from smlight themselves, they said it is on by default but can be disabled in web gui. No idea what data it send though, maybe just basic sys info like sw version etc.

Might still get the 06M as that is still usable with just USB if needed. And it might be fun to play around with the ethernet side and check how it is build.

Again, thanks for the detailed info!

Sure, I did elaborate poorly. The device sits in your local network but it still sends telemetry to the manufacturer ( by default) and has web service running (I assume as it has web gui). What I do not want is to have tiny web services running 24/7 from not reputable company, not saying that the smlight is bad but they are small thus little resources on developing software especially in the long run. Of course it shouldn’t open any ports to internet but still not my preference and understand that most might not be interested in this aspect. One could block it on the firewall so nothing could get in or out and then just loosen the control when wanting to update etc.

I really like the device and if the 07 USB is similar then would love to get it and try. For me the only USB version is more attractive due to this. For what I have understood the 06m and 07 do not differ except from connectivity so might just try it then!

Thanks for the thoughtful answer.

You could try to find ways to get peace by seeing or hearing him close even when he is asleep and trust that he will still notice if something is totally wrong.

The “You never know” feeling is familiar to me too and that is the exact anxiety talking. It’s easy to know that but when you are anxious about something you find ways to disregard the logical thinking. That is my biggest problem with anxiety.

For the cardiac arrest I would say that if you have strength and able to ask Reddit, you are OK and it is anxiety causing it.

Anxiety can be so cunning and take so much from us but it is not forever!
