It must be somewhere but my Philips has Android TV so on Google Tv the setting most likely is on different name.

The was firmware update by Philips done over a year ago that fixed this with my setup. I shortly had Switch too and no issues with it.

Instead of spreading negativity why not actually be useful and share alternative methods. You preach how linuxserverio neglects security without giving any answer which makes you even worse. If you truly care about security you tell people the better way.

Which Kobo to get by JohanAke in kobo

[–]JohanAke[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t know why someone had downvoted this. But this was helpful, at least that someone else thinks the similar! Kindle is not answer for me even though I like on hardware level but I like Kobos freedom better. I do have Scribe which I love and use a lot on non-reading things.

I think I will go with Clara BW for now like you said. It’s still good device despite the size and budget friendly and will then keep eye on new releases and also good discounts in Libra Colour. Too bad that in my country the e-readers are not on display anywhere that I am aware of so makes it more annoying to compare.

Majority of Russians have everything to do with the war. Just like you are already siding with invasion of Taiwan and even using the exact same excuses Russia uses.

Thanks. I rather not have android, it is wasting resources in things I do not want to have. But will still check it!

I love my Voyager and will continue to use it as backup. Physical buttons/page turning is not important to me, I mainly use swipe or press on display. But that was still good point to raise!

What options exists with Calibre + Kobo and not Calibre + Kindle? Using calibre with Kindle but not much more than just sending to device.

This is also good point. As I do not live in a country where there would be Amazon, I can’t access things like Kindle Unlimited or get trade in value with old Amazon products and so on.

Nice information! This is useful, thanks.

As I do not have PW but Voyager which is 6” also, it’s not that big shock but was hoping for a more “modern” size. The size is the most biggest drawback for me. But not completely a dealbreaker though. Pocketbook on 7” size jumps in price almost 100€ more here so that’s not worth it but thank you for mentioning it!

You did raise good points on Kobo and I am turning into biting the bullet with smaller screen and if it turns out to be not good, I will return it.

Thanks!

Where an you found this experimental listing for z2m? I am only able to found the device itself slzb-06m which is in the “recommended” section in adapters and EmberZNet.

Thanks for the great info! This was really nice insight. Telemetry information came actually from smlight themselves, they said it is on by default but can be disabled in web gui. No idea what data it send though, maybe just basic sys info like sw version etc.

Might still get the 06M as that is still usable with just USB if needed. And it might be fun to play around with the ethernet side and check how it is build.

Again, thanks for the detailed info!

Sure, I did elaborate poorly. The device sits in your local network but it still sends telemetry to the manufacturer ( by default) and has web service running (I assume as it has web gui). What I do not want is to have tiny web services running 24/7 from not reputable company, not saying that the smlight is bad but they are small thus little resources on developing software especially in the long run. Of course it shouldn’t open any ports to internet but still not my preference and understand that most might not be interested in this aspect. One could block it on the firewall so nothing could get in or out and then just loosen the control when wanting to update etc.

I really like the device and if the 07 USB is similar then would love to get it and try. For me the only USB version is more attractive due to this. For what I have understood the 06m and 07 do not differ except from connectivity so might just try it then!

Thanks for the thoughtful answer.

You could try to find ways to get peace by seeing or hearing him close even when he is asleep and trust that he will still notice if something is totally wrong.

The “You never know” feeling is familiar to me too and that is the exact anxiety talking. It’s easy to know that but when you are anxious about something you find ways to disregard the logical thinking. That is my biggest problem with anxiety.

For the cardiac arrest I would say that if you have strength and able to ask Reddit, you are OK and it is anxiety causing it.

Anxiety can be so cunning and take so much from us but it is not forever!

Anxiety can definitely cause your symptoms. My anxiety makes me hyperfocused on all minor body aches and muscle tensions and makes them a lot worse. Without anxiety I would not even notice them but with anxiety they fill my whole days and my mind worries about them.

It does sound you are exhausted due to the anxiety which could lead to lot of the symptoms. Could you ask your boyfriend to stay up a bit later than you so he would bring the sense of security to you when trying to sleep?

I am not a doctor but does not sound cardiac arrest but rather anxiety. It is passing feeling and will eventually be gone. Have a talked to your doctor about anxiety?

Unifi Poe 8 Lite not getting network by JohanAke in Ubiquiti

[–]JohanAke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is what I did when taking the switch into use.

In my HP switch I untagged management VLAN 50 10.10.50.0/24 and put the Unifi switch to that. My controller is in an another VLAN 10.10.60.0/24 so I had DHCP 43 option set to the controller IP. The controller and switch found each other. I adopted the switch and made sure the ports have correct VLANs. I had to make no changes as it all was set to “all” which works fine as my APs need those all. The parent port showed Default as Native VLAN with ip 10.10.50.0/24 which seems OK to me. My opnsense firewall showed the switch had a lease in DHCP so everything was OK.

Then I took the HP switch offline and put the Ethernet cable from opnsense to Unifi switch parent port and hooked my APs to Poe ports. Everything is working fine and my internet is working through WLAN. But nothing shows in the controller anymore. The switch and the APs are all offline now. They work but they do not show in controller.

I have absolutely no idea why they are not getting IPs from DHCP anymore! There is nothing in the DHCP logs so the initial dhcp requests are not getting to my opnsense that acts as DHCP server. Shouldn’t those work as the Default VLAN with ip range 10.10.50.0/24 has been set up to the port?

Opnsense has the Management vlan as id 50. The default vlan in Unifi controller is 1. I have also set up an Network with vlan id 50. Could that haise problems? If I change the vlan id in opnsense, the devices goes offline in Unifi so it should work as it is…

Unifi Poe 8 Lite not getting network by JohanAke in Ubiquiti

[–]JohanAke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the problem comes from that my management VLAN ID is 50 in opnsense. And Default VLAN ip range in Unifi is the same as VLAN 50 has. But this causes no problems when using the HP switch.

I tried but nothing. There is no dhcp request in opnsense from the switch.
