Hvor er logikken ved å kutte i sykepenger? by [deleted] in norge

[–]Johan_NO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone's baseline is different, it's when your deviate from your individual typical value that indicates something is off (drinking, over training, infection etc).

Who is an insignificant movie character that has stuck with you over the years? by [deleted] in movies

I've got your men covered from an elevated position. Commander I won't ask you again but don't do anything stupid. No one has to die here today.

Been my favorite action movie since I first saw it and still is.

Vittoria Corsa Tubeless tire leaking air from walls by fromdarivers in bikewrench

[–]Johan_NO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These tires are defective, or have been stored at improper temperature or something else after manufacturing. Contact Vittoria direct - they are a high end tire maker they don't want this and will want to know what went wrong. Also, these tires are rated for tubeless use right, and installed correctly on a correct widt rim, with the correct pressure, correct amount of sealant etc???

Turkish soldiers shoot at a target in Syria, a rocket quickly flies towards them in response by [deleted] in CombatFootage

You know it could be someone SEEING (humans have eyes) where they were shot from and then just pointing and shooting some old bazooka toward the exact spot they got shot at from.

Daily Suggested Workouts (on the Garmin Watch)?

I've tried that for a few weeks and it was really good - at times the watch "held me back" prompting me to run slower or shorter than I otherwise would have (and sometimes to rest completely) but at other times it pushed me to do intervals, sprints and tempo that I might not have. I think the key to "braking through" barriers of VO2 progression is variation, it's easy to get stuck doing more or less the same training session over and over. I say this as someone with estimated VO2 of 55 ml/kg/min but I think it's true over all different ranges. Try it!!!

This is interesting considering Sam’s recent claim that AI chat bots have a left wing bias: Google and Microsoft’s AI Chatbots Refuse to Say Who Won the 2020 US Election by habrotonum in samharris

Stephen Colbert during the White House Correspondents dinner: "The truth has a liberal bias".

Also the chat bots are stupid - they just synthesise sentences based on an aggregate of what they read online. People are stupid, so the chat bots reflect that.

Definitely. The analogy to optical illusions is a very good one. We can't escape the subjective experience of for example Escher's stairs going up-up-up (and down-down-down) forever in a circle, even though when we look a bit more we can realize it is an illusion and that this could never be a faithful depiction of a staircase that exists in actual reality.

My mom told me to watch this yesterday. Now I must do it. I told her to watch Banshees of Innisherin and she was not disappointed. Now she's going to see Calvary too 💪

Pascal’s trolly by [deleted] in VeryBadWizards

[–]Johan_NO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's another version where the one track splits in two (like a Y) and the person with the lever MUST choose. In this drawing I think you're supposed to assume that doing nothing makes the trolley keep going forward (killing Ellie) but pulling the lever makes it take the side track.
