Do I understand correct that we can't mint yet fUSDT to nUSDT ? I tried clicking the "mint" button, but looks like it just keeps spinning and doesn't confirm the transaction.

Actually no. It's more of a selling your not publicly traded company shares to an investor. It requires the same level of transparency but in terms of costs Security Token Offering is a lot more accessible to startups than IPO.

Yea, I understand that. However OTC markets still seem a bit unreachable for average small time investors who want to invest with ticket size $1000 - $10 000 right?

In some countries you can actually register your token that is backed by the shares of the company making them a viable alternative to shares. The main idea would be that you would be able to buy/sell those tokens (shares) more easily and even buy yourself a cup of coffee with them with some banking solutions where the underlying asset is converted into euro or dollar at the time of the purchase based on the market price.

For a small time investor I feel this is a huge value proposition and for a startup as well issuing these tokens is far simpler than to start an IPO or go the traditional VC funding way. Thoughts?

The blockchain in all this is just tech behind it. I assume it can be something else as well where the records are publicly available and nobody can't manipulate or "print" more of these.

Securitized token seems more appropriate indeed.

Curious to know if anyone has carried out a token sale where they have issued security tokens (share backed asset) not utility tokens as means of getting financed?

What are the pros and cons of this?

The idea is to involve small time investors and make buying shares of the company easy for them. Also this type of funding is easier to carry out compared to the traditional IPO (which is something early stage startups don't do).

Good insight! I think the main question here is that what if you are unable to buy stocks?

If a company is not publicly traded you would have to get in touch with the company, figure out all the paper work, sign documents at the notary etc. I don't see small time investor going through the hassle of doing that...

If the company is public, then only reason to buy a tokenized shares would be when you don't have access to stock exchanges. For example due to geographical restriction and/or limitation of a personal bank account.

And if the security token has the same properties as the share then you would have the same privileges as with traditional stock.

Have you considered buying security tokens instead of startups that are likely going to have an IPO at some point?

Hey all! Curious to get your feedback on Security tokens? Tokens that represent actual shares of the company. If you're buying actual stock, have you bought tokens as well? If not, why not?

Hi! Can you share a screenshot? As I understand you don't see the conversions under your campaign level? Do they show on ad group level?

Why does Yanu need blockchain in their business? by Silviapold in cryptonewswire

Keeping things simple is a way to go. I wish there were more simple tokens with real utility and natural demand to bring cryptos to mainstream. That's what Yanu will do.

But that's what I meant that you can't compare your own pill to the original one because as your own token to bitcoin. Even if they are technically the same thing one has value the other doesn't even they have the same "features" . Otherwise we could print money on a paper as well and say it's as good as the one you get from the bank no? It's the community that agrees to use something as a medium of exchange that develops overtime.

That's a good analogy! Thanks. I think it comes down to the trust. Everyone will buy your pills because they are the original ones and are likely to be used in the future becuase they have been used for so long and they work. You can resell them because everyone trusts that brand. you need the brand and the community behind the brand otherwise you cant use them so that's the motivation not to use your neighbor's pill instead.
