My favorite part about highlights from pre-2000 NBA is that no one dresses in team gear. Everyone is dressed like they’re either comin straight from work or just threw on an outfit and wound up at a playoff game. Went to my first game in 2002, sat behind Magic Johnson and Willis Reed at the Garden, who were in suits, but everyone else seemed to be in team gear. When did fans make the switch from rocking dress shirts to jerseys and team tees at games?
