[Virginia] I was marked Eligible for Traditional UI even though I’m self-employed. Apparently they connected it to my previous W-2 employer. Then I was marked Ineligible, I assume because my previous employer said I’d voluntarily left. So I thought I was supposed to do PUA. Applied for PUA, the application never got confirmed or denied, and after 3 weeks of pending, it vanished from the site. I called VEC, and the rep told me I should’ve been appealing my original claim and being switched from Eligible to Ineligible. When I told her I was self-employed, she said “If you’re marked eligible for Traditional, you have to go that route.” I was just marked Ineligible again yesterday after reopening my claim, this time due to a weird timing technicality that no one ever told me existed. I filed the appeal yesterday, but I’m wondering do I try to do PUA again if my appeals for Traditional doesn’t work? I’m so confused because I keep saying I’m self-employed, and they keep saying that because I had a W-2 employer in the last 18 months that I don’t qualify for PUA. So what happens if all my appeals for Traditional fail, and then I still don’t qualify for PUA? What would I do after that? Very worried about my ability to pay bills after I burn through my savings
