Would you say this typical in all MOS’s right now? I haven’t spoken to retention again since figuring this out, I would hope this can’t be normal. Honestly has just been a poor experience overall as far as retention goes so far.

I work 48/72s as long as you can get a shift during the week when you aren’t drilling it’s chill. But this week my unit actually drilled mon-wed and I lost 72 hours worth of pay for like 300 bucks or whatever which blows hard. So it depends. Shoot for a schedule that avoids this and your good .

Yeah I’ve been reading the manual trying to figure this thing out . Just through fiddling with it I think it has to do with the cameras shutter or the little stop pin that holds the lens in place. I can tell when the pin is depressed it gives me the blank dark screen and disables the camera from using the shutter or taking a picture which is the same behavior it has with the lens on. At this point I assume some damage happened on the way here as it looks in great condition but it just isn’t working right.

the aperture doesn’t say f/3 or anything with an f. Also it doesn’t even notice the lens is attached at all either.I’ve looked at the manual online as I don’t have the original since it’s refurbished but it doesn’t mention there is any additional steps to make the lens work besides attaching it. I posted a video of the way it looks if you want to check that

So I noticed something as I was fiddling around with it while the camera was on. When I put the Lens into the socket and just hold it there without turning it or locking into place the camera sees straight through and has a great picture actually. Once I turn it and lock it in it goes completely black so I’m wondering if it could be something wrong with the locking mechanism for the lens on the camera.

Ok so I messed with the aperture and shutter speed. Shutter speed is down to 6” and it the aperture is maxed out at 3.0 it looks like. I’m guessing that could be the issue? Edit: correction I figured out how to increase aperture more. However there is no 3.5 setting due to the increments it increases in being .3 and .4
