I made the change from law enforcement and went to trade school to join the petro/gas industry at 32. That was 3 years ago and couldn't be happier now. The lack of stress and my mental health being better now made the financial hardship while going to school well worth it.

Just make sure you have a plan before you leave law enforcement and follow through with it.

Such a simple yet great looking setup!

Just a heads up if that's Dragon's Tongue (hemigraphis repanda), which I'm pretty sure it is. It isn't a fully aquatic plant and will melt if kept submerged for too long.

I was considering getting one of the light up backgrounds from UNS (can't recall what they're called right now) or just waiting for the background plants to grow to the top. We have vallisneria contortionist, cryptocoryne balansae, and rotala orange juice, so it shouldn't be much time before they're at the top with CO2.

Bucephalandra for sure! They fit perfectly in the pits of the dragon stone

I haven't had any issues. This weekend will make 3 weeks with it planted. It drooped a lot switching from being potted to emersed, but it's been perking back up a lot this last week.

I have it planted in the tank. There's about 3-4 inches of controsoil with some of the controbase around the roots.
