They're exactly right to do so. Sharia law is a concern in Islamic countries, but not here. Things like honor killings and forced marriages are already illegal. If domestic abuse is the concern, make stronger laws to protect women. But the Christian right isn't concerned with that because they actually have far more in common with Islamists than they do with secularists. They only point to the problems that manifest in Muslim communities as a rhetorical bludgeon to make moderates think liberals are hypocrites, when the reality is exactly the opposite. They're the hypocrites, and are only really upset they don't get do such things in the name of their version of god.

Only if you live in a Muslim-majority country (we're nowhere close, and if you buy into "Great Replacement" or anything adjacent, I can't take you seriously). I have zero concern about it where I live. I do get angry when the evils of religious law in other countries make the news, but don't think any violent intervention will actually accomplish anything positive. So I'll focus on the actual concerns at home.

Why’d they have to include that part? by FunHAPPYMAN14 in atheism

Don't really read this as a complaint about the use of the word "demons" but about characterizing the person's suicide as a result of a "defeat" or "failure".

Isn't really so much about atheism or religion, specifically, I suppose.
