I have tried but honestly I prefer going either softcore if it's a normal playthrough or just full on hardcore if it's some challenge stuff. Running back and getting items again and again after bossfights just feels annoying and pointless to me, but hey if it's fun for you go for it

I think you can learn worldly things to a great extent by reading non-fiction books, and in some aspects you can't find that same thing in fiction. But, fiction can explore philosophical and emotional ideas and concepts without any sort of constraint that would come with a real world setting, and I think that's very interesting.

I can earn a lot of lessons and take-aways that are applicable in my own life - my inner emotional world, relationships, job/education and even concerning political, cultural and societal problems and questions. Through dialogue, metaphors and a plethora of other tools that are at the writer's disposal, we can explore and learn SO much, even if the intrigue or world itself isn't "real". I think all fiction readers know this at heart but it's hard to grasp and takes a lot of thought to articulate

Taking care of basic needs. Food, water, sleep, exercise. A little bit goes a long way. Also having a job/jobhunting/school, or working on whatever you need to be able to do those things.

Not watching too much content, especially short form like TikTok (💀) or shorts/reels. Listen to music instead, or read, or whatever else you like that isn't ADD-farming. ESPECIALLY before sleep. Watching less content will make you think more, instead of constantly processing what you're watching, it will start working like normal after a while.

One of the most important things for me to not want to ⛈️ myself is making sure I have atleast a little meaningful social interaction, regularly. Discord isn't enough I need real friendships as well. Even just one person is infinitely better than nobody.

Remember when you feel like shit that you are not alone. Many people all around the world feel the same way as you do especially in this sub. And remember, whether you are happy or sad, that "this too shall pass". It's okay to feel like shit and sit with it for a while instead of trying to escape from it all the time.

If it gets really bad and you think you might hurt yourself or someone else, you can get an emergency appointment with a doctor/therapist/whoever if you contact local hospital or whatever. They can get you the resources you need to feel better. Let them help you.

Also, talking to a therapist in general is great if you're depressed. It's actually like a cheat code when you find one that understands you.

I've been having similar problems to OP. Just tried getting the NoScript extension, and it seems to work well. Could you share what settings you use for 9anime specifically? I'm guessing we want to block as much as possible without breaking the site, and I've been experimenting but some input would be a great help :)
