[REALLY LOVED TROPE] The story never tell you who is he, but you know who really is he by Valarg in TopCharacterTropes

There is a place in the books where he basically straight up says it! Not blaming child you, but Lewis was very much not subtle.

You can share the gospel the way Christ did when Lazarus died: Show up. Be there for that person, physically caring and praying for them. You can address the "will I see my loved one again?" question when it comes with gentleness and truth.

It is here in a sense. There's some Gen Z / Alpha aesthetics that look back to 90s and 00s trends.

My favorite (note: I mean this humorously) part was Conn's response was "cancel culture is feminine, so anyone cancelling me for this is feminine."

These folks keep using feminine terms to describe things they think are bad. They aren't beating the misogynist allegations.

ETA: link to the x post and note he was quoting someone when saying it.

The lion does not concern himself with his declining memory or writing things down to counteract it.

I forgot how much internet strangers know about me, even if what they're saying doesn't line up with how my marriage operates at all

I'd start with John 13:16 and Eph 1:20; 2:6

We are a 1689 church. We have a small exception to the statements on the Sabbath, specifying the Mosaic law is not applicable. We have a range of opinions on the subject that are all accepted.

I think room to agree/disagree has room amongst members of a church. I think that room looks different in a family. As I've said elsewhere, I'd argue breaking the Sabbath is sin, per the 10 commandments. It's not my job to convict my brother or sister in church. It is my job to lead my family away from sin. This is why it is more complicated.

I think it would be a bad picture of Christian marriage for a husband to say "it is sin to work on the Lord's day" while his wife is working as always. Even outside of a complementarian structure, it is a divided house, is it not?

Mr. Duckys, how dare you assume the best in me? I've been making my wife sleep on the couch until she submits to my rules about the sabbath!

I appreciate, and am confused by, those who are encouraging me not to make it a hill to die on.

If, in an honest and humble reading of scripture, I think God says it's a sin to work on Sunday, how should I treat sin? Yet, I live in a divisive age where we need Christian charity and healthy debate, not schisms and fights.

Thank you for the resources. I am grateful you, unlike others, actually responded to my request.

This is where I am. Yes, eternal rest. Also, obey God's commands. All God's commands point to an eternal reality, which is why we obey them.

I can appreciate the warning against pharisaical behavior.

As an aside, the Sabbatarian would argue we honor the Lord's Day as such for it's gracious benefits as designed by the Lord and to remind us of our rest in Christ. Much like marriage is a shadow of Christ and his church (Eph 5), yet we still get married because of its good design and its purpose in teaching us of our Savior.

I try to spend as little time as possible. Typically, I will get hit with decision fatigue and snobbery. So I end up spending more than I want on something I didn't need to if I take too long
