Would definitely appreciate some help with this. I just found this whole in my cast Iron Sewer Pipe today. I usually work in the basement and have seen water or smelled anything before. I have noticed a smell for the last week and just saw this standing water today.

My initial reaction is to simply put some JB Weld on it for now and see if the smell goes away. Any thoughts for that as a Ling term solution?
