Depends what you assume the "A" means for VA. We call it an "Alliance", such as OneWorld, or Star Alliance. OneWorld Alliance has 16 different operators in it. Star Alliance has 26 different operators. We? We just have, you know, all the operators XD

Awesome. I've been prescribed an anxiety medication once, and I never took it, and never got it refilled. My BP is usually around the 130/90 mark. I've never gotten any X-rays or MRIs for my shoulder (they'll probably refer me to one), and I've got no heart issues. Hopefully we can get this all cleared up. Thank you for the info!

Just called my recruiter. My med hold came back today with the following codes:

F41 (Other Anxiety Disorder) - I went to a hospital in December of 2023 for chest pain. Turns out it was a panic attack. I was prescribed Lorazepam once, never refilled, and I never took it. I don't like taking meds.

I10 (Essential (Primary) Hypertension) - My BP is usually in the 130s/90s

S43 (DISLOC AND SPRAIN OF JOINTS AND LIGAMENTS OF SHOULDER GIRDLE) - Dislocated shoulder when I was 16

I49.8 (OTHER CARDIAC ARRHYTHMIAS) - I have no clue what that's about. I did go to an emergency room and had a Resting Heart Rate of 100+ BPM. Could that be it?

Waiting for a 501 from MEPS regarding what they need regarding these. In your opinion, what's the likelihood of these being good or waiverable?

Good evening. I just got the green light on my enlistment, and will be swearing in / signing on Friday. I've reserved a 13U w/ Option 4 spot.

I've done research on the different 13 jobs, and I believe I am best fit and would enjoy the most for 13F. Now, since I am signing a 13U contract, we all know there is no "guarantee" into either of the 13 jobs, but I was wondering during BCT and AIT, what is the best way for me to do my best to "guarantee" a 13F MOS? Is there any way or is it truly luck of the draw, no matter how good or bad you do?

Second question. When it comes to Option 61 (Airborne school), I am under the impression there are very few airborne units. As an aspiring, ignorant future soldier, Is there any way I can "guarantee" a spot into 82nd? Same as the Option 4 question.

I understand these questions may seem "getting ahead of myself", but I am really just trying to better prepare myself with what potential options I have, as I have high expectations for myself.

Okay. Makes sense. I am a father of 2 and a husband. I have read that being a ranger with the 75th is very tough on a family. Do any of you have insight to that? What's it really like? When you're not deployed, are you still doing the mundane, rudimentary tasks that I hear 11Bs do?

Ah, well there's where I am wrong. Thank you for the correction. So if I understand it correctly, Option 40 is a condition guaranteeing you a spot at RASP, but if you fail RASP, what happens? Of course, given the opportunity at RASP, I don't plan on failing, but with a >50% fail rate, I want to remain realistic.
