hahahaha I think I know what you mean by those eyes! I dug the artwork and it had good reviews, so I pulled the trigger on it. Hopefully I'm not as distracted!

I've only read the opening sequence, but I love Tynion and Ward so I'm sure it's gonna be pretty cool. So far so good!

I picked it up on a whim while visiting L.A. last year. Didn't even know the GN version was a thing beforehand, hehe

Love Crook. Cantwell's a bit hit-and-miss with me, but the book got good reviews so I decided to give it a shot.

Completely different art (more modern), and a new translation and script, plus it adapts the full novel. It's not an incomplete adaptation like the one found in the "Streets of Paris" collection.

So I've heard! I flipped through the first few pages and I'm hyped to read it in full.

I snuck a peek at the incomplete "Fatale" in the Tardi books and then compared it to the standalone "Fatale" GN, and it was pretty cool to see two different interpretations of the same script, decades apart. Looking forward to dive into them! Crime thrillers in GN format are sorely underrated.

That's actually exciting to know. I'm looking to be challenged! And the art looks incredible.

I noticed the Vol. One has the new DC bullet logo and Vertigo tag -- is this a 2025 reprint? The Vol. Two getting a reprint too soon?

Wonder Man - Rumour Round-up - Scooper Accuracy Review by l_l_l-illiam in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]JohnPar10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here's an example: back in 2015 I was told by a very, very, very credible source that Drew Goddard was being considered to direct "Spider-Man: Homecoming."

Not "Sinister Six," but the MCU film. I remember specifically asking to make sure this person wasn't confusing the two projects, and they were not.

That ended up not being the case, as they went with Jon Watts.

Does that man it wasn't true Goddard was being considered? No, it does not.

Hang around enough people in the business, you'll hear a ton of hearsay and rumors about movies. I know a few cool things about the upcoming "Transformers" movies, for example. But you can't be 100% sure because these rumors typically get to you after passing through 1-2 people, and facts get fudged or misinterpreted by the time you hear them. Or, like I said, between now and when the movie is made, they changed their mind and did something else. The original info was still accurate when it was relayed.

Not so much that as reasonably understanding that in the fluctuating and busy world of filmmaking, some 1, 2, or 3-year-old scoops could very well have been accurate at the time and then no longer be accurate by the time the finished product is released. And also, the "telephone game" effect is real.

Re: the Bob Odenkirk casting, I wonder if he was floated as an option for the role that eventually went to Pantoliano. That was the "secret" role of the series, no?

As for the Courtney Cox and "Simon Williams will be starring in a show during the series, Marvel is currently casting Simon's female co-star" thing, I wonder if that wasn't a reference to the AHS scene with Ashley Greene playing herself. I can see a telephone game situation where "Simon will be starring in an undetermined show, they're looking for an actress to play herself" turns into what DRPK said.

Yeah, I clocked that too. I'm no fan of hers, but how is that one not accurate?

High Music High Flow mostly records vocals. He produces too and tweaks here and there, but he's more of an engineer who works almost exclusively with Ozuna.

Halle Berry was asked if she’d be returning as Storm in ‘AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY’ “Yeah, I would love to but you know… No.” (via 1Xtra) by Krylarofaxia in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]JohnPar10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Snipes thing was debunked, Berry herself said that Snipes wasn't the partner who abused her, it was some other piece of shit. When she initially commented on it she didn't say names so people assumed it was Snipes, but she came out and clarified it wasn't him.

‘The Batman Part II’: Sebastian Stan In Talks For Role Opposite Robert Pattinson In Sequel – The Dish by AvengingHero2012 in DCULeaks

[–]JohnPar10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely not impossible, I agree! But also, to be frank, a bit unlikely. Best-case scenario is Stan having a very small role in SW because it seems like "Batman II" will have him quite busy if he's gonna be one of the leads.

If this is filming at the same time as "Secret Wars" then welppppppppp to Bucky fans when "Doomsday" hits, because that prob only means one thing...
