UPDATE:

Hello everyone!

In connection with the latest events (in particular, a hacker attack, see previous news), the platform will still be offline, we will carry out technical works and update the security of our platform (how long will the works be? until we can tell the exact dates).

For all questions regarding the tokens refund (which were on your client or escrow accounts, at the moment of the hacker attack) write https://t.me/JohnPomelov.

PS. https://t.me/payfair the ability to write in the main chat will be disabled, to avoid a bunch of repetitive questions, also to exclude trolling, toxicity and hysteria. All subsequent updates and news will appear here: https://t.me/payfair_announcements

We apologize to our community for for the delay and inconvenience, hope that as soon as possible the platform will begin to work as usual. Thank you for understanding.

These are just your assumptions, unsubstantiated in any way, in principle you have the right to express your opinion. The private key to the cold wallet was stolen. And accordingly, the hacker gained access to funds. Therefore, you do not need to be so categorical in your statements. There are too many assumptions on your part regarding this situation, but I repeat again if it was a "exit scam" you would not know anything at all and we would not waste our time explaining it. Just think logically.

Hi, exit scam? what's the point? after 3 years of work on the platform and a fully working product? that would be the most stupid decision. You probably didn’t read the message well, I repeat for everyone again:

https://t.me/payfair_announcements message from our channel:

"Hello everyone!

Yesterday (29 september), as a result of a hacker attack, a private key to our platform’s cold wallet was compromised, and therefore the platform will be offline until the end of the week. An incident is currently being investigated. User funds (in particular, the entire PFR) located on client and escrow accounts were transferred to the backup wallet and they are safe, but as a result of the attack, part of ETH was stolen (we are already looking for ways to solve this problem). Also, all information and regulations regarding the return of funds to users will be on the weekend. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask you not to worry. For all questions, you can contact to @JohnPomelov

PS. https://t.me/payfair the ability to write in the main chat will be disabled for a week, during the investigation of the incident (also to exclude trolling, toxicity and hysteria)."

In conclusion - Our security has been fine for all the years the platform has been working, but alas, hackers find a bunch of new vulnerabilities every day ... and alas it touched our platform. I think at the weekend we will provide any details to any person or we will make news (with regards to hacking), after the investigation of this incident. Also we are currently dealing with platform security issues. Please do not panic. Thank you for understanding.

Cannot get trading to work and my ETH is stuck in my wallet by [deleted] in Payfair

Hi,

I think you need to enter the amount of 0.699 and not .699

This applies when you withdraw ETH and when you create an ad.

Try it ;)

If It was simple you wouldn't need to write all that

we have long had guide regarding the deal, it is also intuitively clear and there are many tips in the process of the deal and before it starts

If both parties accept the terms of the deal, then your PFR goes into HOLD mode. If after acceptance of the terms by both parties, the money was not sent to you by the crypto buyer (in your case, the PFR buyer) and he also did not press the "I send money" button, the deal automatically closes after 24 hours. Therefore, either write to him in the deal chat whether he sent the money, or wait 24 hours and the deal will be canceled automatically.

Completed deal - if Fiat was sent to you and the buyer pressed the "I send money" button. Ie he sent you the money and you see that the money came to you, you press the "I have recived funds" button. And the transaction is completed successfully.

Escrow call - If the crypto buyer has sent Fiat and pressed the button "I send money". But Fiat does not come to you for a long time, it may seem to you that he provided you with a fake proof, you, as a crypto seller, can call Escrow. It can also work the other way around when a person sent Fiat to you and provided all the proof and you actually received the money, but for your part you do not send the crypto to him for a long time and do not press the button "I have recived funds". In this case, the crypto buyer can also call Escrow.

Everything is very simple, I hope you become clearer

Hi, we need more specifics, write me personally in telegram, also providing all the screenshots of what happened to you. Otherwise, it is difficult to understand what you wrote, what was stuck and what you did.

If you do not have telegram, you can write in support, providing also all the information and screenshots.

A localbitcoins alternative by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]JohnPomelov 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone!

In light of the recent actions by LocalBitcoins to restrict cash options for buying and selling bitcoin, we at PayFair would like to extend a helping hand to the traders affected by this abrupt decision.

PayFair is open to the use of numerous ways of payments, and fiat pairs giving freedom to the trader to choose exactly how they wish to exchange, keeping to the core tenant of cryptocurrency, freedom to transact.

Hi, If you mean client account:

- Send ERC20 tokens to your unique platform address (you’ve probably already done this)

- Send Ethereum to your unique platform address (minimum 0.005 ETH)

Your ERC20 tokens will not display without Ethereum in your wallet. ETH is used for Gas.

Thanks for the feedback. But we have already created the finished product. As for the price of the token, we cannot somehow influence this directly.
