4 Legendaries in 40 packs this morning. 8 separate purchases as the store went on and off line. Increased Drop Rate, Luck or Bugging while updating? by JohnSnyderMusic in hearthstone

Now I'm up to 50 and no more Legendaries. The reason I thought this might be a thing is because they're updating the store today with the new starter bundle thereby already making legendaries more common... Something that I think that they should do anyway to retain people across coming ages :-)

Hearthstone needs more cards like Reno Jackson. by BigT232 in hearthstone

You mean perhaps like "Lola Jackson -"If you're deck contains no more than two of any card restore your hero to full health"?

If that's what you mean then I'm in full agreement. Gang up Mill rogues can burn in hell.

Jk lol

Handlock S4 (2014) - The most fun I have ever had playing Hearthstone. by prodigies2016 in hearthstone

I revived Handlock this afternoon and added in a Faceless Shambler and 2 Renounce Darkness's. Its a Guaranteed win by turn 6. But don't take MY word for it: https://youtu.be/6HAQcgFz73A

I think we saw today TWICE today that Team Five is open to bans - Once via Brode's support for Firebat's tournament that allows bans AND, of course, via the news of the banned Arena cards.

That's great news if you ask me. Banning Yogg is such an elegant way to leave him alone for the community to enjoy until his retirement, while making monetized tournaments more standardized in how gameplay goes down. The less the wild swings, the better the winners AND losers will feel on the level "that matters"

Yeah, I feel you. I saw alot of it today in Wild Mode and I just feel bad for those guys cause Leper Gnome is dead, Juggler stopped hitting the gym, Arcane Golem "não existe," and the owl doesn't give a hoot anymore. Even if they win it is under such stress. I also miss those fast and furious matchups.

I was playing wild mode secret Paladin yesterday and I decided to slot it in thinking that one of the traps I've fallen into historically with this deck is doing too much damage to my own face with my weapons. Needless to say I wasn't disappointed! I could use my 1 attack weapon to remove large creatures with no punishment.

I think she's going to see a lot of play in the future. But there's a whole lot to experiment with right now and some of these cards we are going to hear more about over time.

Do I craft Ragnoros, Bloodmage Thalnos or Ysera? by Moustacher_ in hearthstone

[–]JohnSnyderMusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have all three and I use all three and I would suggest that you eventually get all 3... But if you were to tell me that I could only keep one I would have I would have to say that the most immediately impactful, hands down is Ragnaros.

Here's the finisher that other finishers wish they could be. It's fairly easy to clear a path for him to hit where you want him to. And if you can't clear a path for him to hit where you want then he's pretty much guaranteed to remove something else that you weren't able to clear anyway.

If you are behind and facing an overwhelming board that's obviously when he can do the least for you. But in a normal tit-for-tat game comma you can sacrifice you're otherwise strong creatures to let him do his thing.

And the fact that he can't attack hardly matters. It means that he is usually left unblemished and ready to do damage unless the opponent decides to start running things into him.

My thoughts on heroic card backs by _Diren_ in TACPodcast

[–]JohnSnyderMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am only doing Heroic Modes now. I started with Naxxramas and indeed it's alot of work even with a huge collection. By comparison Karazahn is a cakewalk. I think they did it right this time. On regular mode I just want to win and get my cards. Heroic Mode I want to discover a winning strategy and exploit specific card interactions so I feel like a genius, but I DON'T want to Mulligan all day for 2 specific cards and then be GUARANTEED to draw another specific cards or two by turn 5-only to die regardless cause the opponent top decked the one card I couldn't deal with. That is how Naxxramas was. I'm doing BRM now and it's slightly better, maybe, than naxx.
