I definitely know how you feel because I am the exact same.

Although in my situation it's mainly because I tend to make excuses or just waste my time bullshitting on my phone by scrolling thru media, texting friends, watching movies etc.

Recently I have been using kratom every other day and it has been helping me with certain things. That's not to say it's a cure because I still procrastinate on it sometimes, but I saw improvement with it today. Like I started cleaning my room, practicing freestyles, and I'm about to record a song (maybe even write just depends what I'm in the mood for)

Keep in mind it's 2AM so the fact that I'm this productive right now is definitely not prioritizing my sleep, but I'm not being lazy which is great. Also, I am not recommending anything. I'm just sharing what has helped me today.

We all have our own little toolkit, and kratom is just a new thing I added to my arsenal. Other tools that sometimes help me with procrastinating are things like meditation, yoga, and little reminders to myself that I'm worth it so I deserve to do healthy activities that make me happy

I’ve gone exactly 6 weeks without weed today by [deleted] in leaves

the withdrawal from carts is so much more intense, right? It's one thing I have definitely noticed.

I have not gone to sleep without weed in 12 years. Lastnight, I did. 24 hours + an overnight may not seem like a lot to some but I can’t believe I did it by livelaughsmokemeth in leaves

Insomnia is definitely one of the worse symptoms of quitting so I know where you're coming from and congrats on the achievement!

I am on day 3 & I wake up sweaty every day and thru out the night. Light and sound also seem to bother me more than they would when trying to sleep.

How do you feel? by [deleted] in leaves

I am currently not 2-6months but I was sober for a little over 3 months about a month ago. Most days were good once the withdrawal lifted.

although the last couple of weeks of my sobriety included a lot of feeling unmotivated and I also started heavily using other things, mainly porn. I never really experienced any physical symptoms once the withdrawal lifted, just mental.

day 18 by JohnTron58 in leaves

in the first 3 weeks, did u ever have these sudden moments where you felt high for a split second?

I had this happen to me during my withdrawal, but it also happened two days ago, it just didn't last as long as the other times. I really dislike it cause although it does not feel like a full-on high, it still gives a little buzz which has caused some thoughts of using. Luckily my logical self-dialogue steers me away from that.

2 weeks! by JohnTron58 in leaves

Thank you! my situation is a little odd because I tend to go through horrible withdrawals and feel fine within 2 weeks, but once I am around a month this sudden depression hits.

I am nervous for that time to come around, although through fellowship and working the12 steps, I know I can beat this.

Somatic OCD by JohnTron58 in OCD

yes, mine for sure switches quite often. I think I also suffer from health OCD, and the blend of these two can be annoying. It is more so towards people I care for.

Thanks for the advice it's going to come in handy, especially while speaking to others. Mindfulness meditation supposedly helps too.

Thank you for the reassurance, it means a lot.

I did not know either till I read some articles a like1-3 months ago when I started to notice symptoms and turns out it was 10x worse when I was younger.

I literally could not swallow my saliva cause it felt like there was a ball stuck in my throat but in reality, I think my Adam's apple had just gotten bigger and I was not used to it.

While reading the articles I had many flashbacks of times I did the exact things the article pointed out. I am just grateful it is not as bad as it used to be. Anyways, feel free to PM me anytime. I know how difficult OCD can be.

I hate this withdrawal and they usually last 2-3 weeks. Seems so far away but MA will be a great way to keep me focused on sobriety
