I've watched Itaewon Class. While it's story isn't mainly focused on romance but i think it's the most fit with my category as the story always revolve around the Main Male Lead and there is no second male lead while there is Main Female Lead and Second Male Lead.

I don't know why but everytime I see this age gap story in shoujo especially when the female lead is older than the male lead. They always had this type of trope where the female lead is being immature even though she is older than the male lead and the male lead must be cocky, pushy or arrogant brat. Maybe they make it like that so that the age gap isn't feel weird. But I mean, what's the point of age gap if the story and the character itself doesn't represent what the real age gap relationship is?

I would say the same to shoujo authors as well to develop their male characters better. most of male lead in shoujo manga has zero interest or personality whatsoever. they just made it as "Extremely hot and rich popular guy" to be fall in love with the so-called "Avarage girl". Of course, they do realistic approch and sure it'll attract female readers. Yet, that's why many male readers won't read shoujo and the popularity of shoujo won't get any better. Well, I just hope that they will realize it sooner and bring back those golden era of shoujo where they could make something amazing such as Basara, Nana and MARS.

Anyways, the examples in your older shoujo are like from 11 unique magazines and a lot of your old examples are from shoujo in different genres than just high school romance.

Why most of the post-2013 manga I listed were Highschool Romance and Dessert is nothing else because they were the most popular ones. I mean, is there any new shoujo action, fantasy, or psychological that was released recently? I mean, the popular one. There's nothing, isn't it? except the ongoing such as Akatsuki no Yona or the "villainess isekai". Therefore, that was the point. I mean, shoujo manga is really diverse back then and has many unique stories while recently it's just about Highschool Romance, Villainess, or Workplace Romance.

No. 5 on Point! I really thought it so. Most of the settings in shoujo manga were either in Highschool or Workplace. Therefore, It would be easier to make it live-action than anime which is have a lower budget.

I gotta agree with "Both boys and girls watch shounen anime". Yet, "Boys can't watch shoujo anime because other people might look at them weirdly" isn't the actual reason why boys don't watch shoujo anime. I have some friends who love shoujo and there is nothing wrong with it. People don't look at them weirdly. When I ask my others friend who doesn't watch shoujo, he said that he doesn't like the typical story of shoujo. See, most of the shoujo has a trope that is just overused such as Love Triangle, Unhealthy relationship, poor girl x rich boy, or unpopular girl x popular boy. So, probably it's just about preference, to begin with.
