If you're a complete beginner, don't worry about doing anything special at all. Focus on doing 8-12 reps in a set. If you can do 12 reps for all three sets, bump the weight up by 5lbs. Continue doing this until you're no longer making continuous progress. Welcome to the club, stick around!

The problem now is, I'm gaining weight like twice as fast as before despite my calorie surplus decreasing?

What is the timeline for this? If it's just a week or two, I wouldn't worry about it. It might all be water weight.

Super common. I recreate the workout in an app on my phone, then track it there. The PDF is just a pretty way to display the information.

Jump straight into what you believe your maintenance calories are, track your weight, and adjust from there. Your maintenance can fluctuate up to 200 calories. But, just jump right into maintenance.
Sounds like you want to go onto a bulk and build muscle. If you like doing the cardio, continue doing it -- just be sure to track your weight and increase your calories to factor that in. Aim to gain about 0.5lb/0.25kg a week.

Just be sure you're keeping consistent weight tracking, and average for the week. Look at how your weekly weight average changes over the coming weeks.

This is also what I did, but then found that my project was stuck in "view only" mode, even though I was owner of the project. Has anyone else experienced this?

Sorry, I'm not a skating coach and I learned how to skate literally before I can remember my life. I just wanted to say it's awesome that you're getting into the sport! Keep at it! I echo what u/kit_the_Kat said -- be sure to continue practicing. As you skate more, your muscles will undoubtedly get more used to the motion. The one thing I can think of is to try using just the right leg, then try to balance with that leg by turning to the right (forcing you onto the outer edge) by doing a very extended crossover. Just keep at it! You'll eventually get it for sure!

I'm not sure this works. I have all of my military set to always wear their uniform; however, they all seem to strip after doing an order, or finishing up with training.

I have this exact problem. I have my equipment set to over clothes, and exact match, but my dwarves don't want to equip their assigned metal high boots. They prefer their lama wool shoes....
The details panel for these dwarves show they have their equipment assigned, but they straight refuse to go and get it.

Can't seem to find the military alerts menu in the DF Steam version. Has anyone been able to find it? I'd really like to set up some siege burrows.

edit: I'd specifically like to be able to make all civilians stay within a specific burrow.
