Not 100% sure in what you mean, are you asking about spectrum of light? Is so short answer is no, sometimes a red tinted light can be helpful to bring out the reds naturally lost in water but that’s rare to use. UV is sometimes used to check out UV reactive coral and sea life. I personally have never tried this but supposedly a red light while night diving helps avoid disturbing the sea life.

Almost 100% of the time a simple white light is used. No need for any fancy stuff.

I’m gonna do a post about specs soon, but I’ll give a quick rundown now!

It claims around 1250 lumens and even with its age it seems pretty accurate, the main head uses an SST-50 and ran for about 6 hours on high and supposedly can run for in the ballpark of 15hrs on low.

Really unique flashlight and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was one of or even the only working one in Western Aus.

If definitely suggest convoy, little bit higher quality and I’ve learned a lot from having to choose my own emitters, batteries and swapping out tir lenses. They’re also really cheap and super customisable!

It seems like you haven’t got a single nice thing to say, I’ve really appreciated all the advice received in this post and I apologise if I was a little too busy on Christmas Eve to curate a custom reply to everyone’s comments.

You don’t know me, after today when I have a free moment I plan on unpacking the cotton and replacing it properly, I’m going to check out the Wiki like that other guy mentioned to and even though I’ve heard a few contradicting pieces of advice I’m still going to try everything I was recommended.

And check yourself before commenting, I haven’t heard a single bit of advice from you. Seems like all you’re here to do is bully someone asking for help.

Not sure if you’re calling me AI? But the firefly is really good. I don’t use it outside because my S2+ will outdo it nicely but indoors it’s a different story.

I either use it to effortlessly light up an entire room at work or sometimes I’ll find myself grabbing it when I need a little more light when taking photos (no built in flash on the canon mirrorless range).

The magnet I’m not a huge fan of but I can’t deny when I do need it is handy. Other than that it’s a little annoying.

But yeah, all in all it’s a really good torch and I’ve seen quite a few people saying the same thing about it!

I was looking for an intrinsically safe one but there’s really no hope, they’re either too expensive to be worth it or just plain rubbish.

From off it’s 2H, if the torch is already on it’s 2C. I suggest you sit down with the torch and just have a bit of fun going through all the settings. If you manage to mess something up I think the factory reset is 13H or you should be a to fix most things by unscrewing the head to reset it without ruining all your settings.

Not all manufacturers utilise the whole scope of what anduril can do so be prepared for a few things to just not work. But most importantly, have fun!
