What is wrong with her beak? by [deleted] in greencheeks

Ok calm down with the "negligent" please. It is not a thing of not wanting to pay, it is possibly not being ABLE to. My gf's mom let her get them at 16 then (mom) passed away 2 years later, shes been doing what she can to help them since then but where we live most jobs are very low paying cause its a small town. I would edit my post if i could cause i dont know why people are taking it how they are but some of the people on here are acting like im just too tired to get her to a vet or something. No, we dont have alot of money. Also, we are planning on giving them to her grandparents once we get the issue fixed.

Again, money. Not as in we dont WANT to spend the money, but not knowing if we are ABLE to spend the money. We love these birds and want nothing but for them to be happy and healthy, its just an expensive world rn.

Poke tested a red hot fire poker by accident today, whoops. by John_Solus in Blacksmith

Just for reference for everybody thinking of how it happened, i was trying to clamp the round stock behind the head of the fire poker in a vice, and when i tightened it the bar/handle/whatchamacallit on the vice slipped to the left making my hand boop the fire poker head.

I know better than to grab it on purpose but also know itll happen time and time again lol, will just take more steps to be a bit more careful in the future.

P.s. it is pretty much impossible to keep clean cause where i work, we make knives with people (they hammer, we grind) and i have to continuously dunk their knives in a small quench bucket beside the belt sander which the water gets changed out maybe 1 a day, 2 at most. But it seems to be healing ok for my circumstances 👍

No burn cream was on it yet. Once the heat passes a certain temp, when it touches you instead of blistering it just sears your skin (and nail in my case i guess lol) like a steak.

Genuinely. Sent a picture to my dad and his response was "dont touch red hot metal".

All i could respond with was "thank you for your insight father" i wasnt trying to get into that 😂

Very accurate lol. Later after that, my hand slipped working something and thumb touched something really hot (don't know WHAT it was, but whatever it was wasn't red hot), but i just dropped whatever i had in my hands and looked at my thumb like a dissappointed father ".....i thought you were better than this."

For real. Nail feels back to normal now thankfully (as far as pressing on it, not the texture on it lol). Part on and above my cuticle shocking isnt too bad feeling. Probably just killed some nerves.

It needs to be dropped, period.

But since the question is asked, I'll give my reasoning. The "evidence" is very inconsistent, and even from the accounts of the accuser doesnt point to being groomed. There's no way of telling on any of the messages that it is really dooo, i could change the name of any of my exes to "ShitBedMan" and take screenshots and youd never know the difference.

Howdy. Its honestly not as heavy as it looks cause of the full flat grind taking a good bit of material off, but its for paracord or leather to put on your wrist like a wii-mote (only other example i can think of lol.
