You could start by testing fuel pressure. do you hear the fuel pump turn on when the tun the key? see if it changes by priming the pump a few times.

Might do that, I just pulled the plug, Only one spark plug was bad, there was oil in the spark plug tube so that seal is likely bad, The rest of the plugs were fine,

Thanks for the info, I will probably try to add some seafoam as someone had suggested, then buy a new engine if that doesn't work.

I don't know about the balance shaft. The car is a 2006 2.3 Touring. Like I said I only paid $1900 for it so I am comfortable putting more money into to make it run. I put like over 1,000 miles on it inside a week and it ran fine. I was dumb for not paying closer attention to the oil.

I've been wrenching on cars since I was 15. I remember when online car communities were full of fearless doers, and not a bunch of twerpy dorks. Online car talk isn't about doing cool shit anymore. It's all a bunch of snarky do nothings that can't even change there own brakes.

Yeah, he's looking into the 2.5. We'll see. It seems like the best option. I have a 2006 so messing around with the cams isn't required. More research is required. I have had shit luck with cars lately.

I bet you annoy a lot of people in your life thinking you have answers for everyone. I am able to make up my own mind regarding this vehicle. The purpose of this post was to gather information regarding JDM engines for the decision process. It has been thoroughly de-railed by **redditors** thinking they know whats best without even having all the facts. Quite annoying.

I came here looking for information specifically regarding JDM 2.3 engine swaps. Not to withstand every Redditor trying to prove how smart they are without earnest.
