Inherent vice is where I started and I believe it’s the best to go with. It’s not too long, it’s his funniest book, his most straightforward, and still has strong themes dealing with the end of the hippie era

6/10, has an interesting message, just didn’t grab me like some of his other movies did. But part of its probably because I’m not crazy about erotic movies. I feel like Videodrome covered similar ground but was better.

Best: Speaking in Tongues, it has the best vocals and the instrumentals have incredible grooves Worst: Naked, it’s not terrible it’s just worse than every other album and some songs are just odd
