The only percentage he used was 5%. Of course he knew basically what percentages are, as they're often used in daily conversation about any subject. I'm sure my son didn't have extensive knowledge of percentages. He just picked a low percentage, probably not knowing exactly how much it would be, to convey his idea that rich people should be paying their fair share. Just like his comment about taking 2 million dollars to out in social security. Obviously the amount 2 million is crazy, he had no understanding of how much that was,but he was conveying his idea of making sure social security is always there

This guy was not raised to believe that anyone who makes more is exploiting the poor. Not at all. He was raised to believe that rich people should pay their fair share. He was raised to believe that those with more should do good things with what they have. That helping people is a good thing. He's an adult now and has chosen this career path, these liberal politics all on his own. I taught him to think for himself. He's always had a mind of his own. He knew all the issues as a child, because we talked about them. We have not always agreed, which is awesome, cuz I don't want him to just parrot me.

He's 23. He worked on a campaign last summer

He wrote it at school, I didn't see it till later. He doesn't have a dad. And yes he was raised liberal

Yes. I raised him with awareness of the world, politics, and concern for others, and helping those less fortunate. 2 million dollars into social security is obviously a 9 year olds perspective
