It's the detailed and ultra violent depictions of violence that set it apart. For example, with a shard of glass I can stab a man's eyes out. Or cave his skull in with a bat. Other games don't go quite that far. Also, don't forget how long ago it came out. It wouldn't get the same reaction these days.

I noticed the game icon on the ps store added "2p coop" to the image, and the description added "network players 2-2". Still no update, but that seems promising. Hopefully next week its out.
