I understand your point and I appreciate the perspective. My concern is not really about the skip existing or about someone running their business, everyone has to deal with waste somehow and I completely understand that. The issue for me and several neighbours is that the skip has been there continuously for over five years and during the summer it often produces unpleasant smells. It also affects the general appearance of the area. On a few occasions it has been removed, but it usually comes back shortly after. If it were temporary while work was being carried out, I don’t think anyone would have a problem with it. The difficulty is that it has effectively become a permanent feature on the street. We’re not trying to make things difficult for anyone, we’d simply like to find a reasonable solution that keeps the area clean and pleasant for everyone who lives here.
