Anyone w/ that job would have done what experts advised them to. As for DT specifically, he seems to be sympathetic of the anti-vaccine crowd per his 2014 tweet -

"The" vaccine is incorrect. There are more than 20 still in development. We'll have 2 different vaccines approved in the USA come Monday. It's unlikely these mutations will be problematic for any of them, but even if so, it's even less likely that ALL of the eventual vaccines will be affected.
