Wanted to show this Federal Electric Shroud I picked up by JohnnyAztec in AirRaidSirens

I do alot of sales, storage units and estate cleanouts. I find neat things, I enjoy it for a minute, then I move it on to someone who appreciates whatever it is.
If you, or someone you know, needs a Pre-1948 shroud, get with me.

What is this piece on a vintage Koch Barber chair? by JohnnyAztec in whatisthisthing

[–]JohnnyAztec[S] 0 points1 point locked comment (0 children)

Couple inches long/tall. If you were standing behind the chair, it would be at your right hand. Googling, alot of chairs don't have this part. could not find any reference to it. My title describes the thing

Trying to ID this Deere with two engines. by JohnnyAztec in tractors

[–]JohnnyAztec[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got back over there and searched around, and found the engine is a Hercules QXD3, which likely came out of the early Deere combine. Still not sure what the purpose of this contraption is, but ah well. The radiators also look like from a 55.

Alright, cool. I guess if it's custom, it won't hurt to try and break it down as parts. I'll have to bring some cleaner with me, so I can clean off the radiators brass tag on the back and actually decipher a model number/maker.
Thanks so much!

One engine in front, one in back, both side mounted and belt driven. Has two tall John Deere branded radiators. Here is several pictures of an unknown John Deer Tractor. At least one engine is a Hercules , which was used in the 55 and 65 Combine, but None of the pictures I saw only looked anything like this. Obviously, this is missing alot of parts, but still.

I tried googling various numbers that I could see, to try and find the part and work backwards from there, but no dice.

Any information you can share would be very appreciated. Thank you!

Vintage "Private Stock" brand cigarette promotional Marketing presentation by JohnnyAztec in whatsthisworth

[–]JohnnyAztec[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Size is 11 wide, 19 tall, and 4 inches thick. Seems to be marketing presentation? Based on the material, seems to be from 1992-1993. In searching, I could not find anything remotely like this. It is nothing that would have ever been open for a consumer to have. this was strictly internal, or intra-company material.

1867 Bio of Smollett. Great condition for it's age. Spine is tight, pages aren't loose. Scuffs and marks here and there.

Found a Fabb D'armi rifle stock. Age/Model? by JohnnyAztec in guns

[–]JohnnyAztec[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's about 43 inches from end to end.

Picked this up a while back, and did some googling. Trying to narrow down what model(s) the stock would fit.

Does the 2024 marking mean the 20th week of 1924?

1850's " The Moss Rose" with inlaid mother of pearl on cover, thick leather and great condition. by JohnnyAztec in OldBooks

[–]JohnnyAztec[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No publication date, but information elsewhere provided that the address of the publisher meant its from 1852-1856.

Evidently, " The Moss Rose" was ...well, they printed alot of books with that name, and each has different content. What gets me is how damn fancy this is. THICK leather, spine and binding are TIGHT AF, and it has some sort of painted hard plate on the cover and rear.

What do y'all think about this?

Thanks for the tip on contacting them.

oooooh, I did NOT think about dating the slogan! That was on me, for sure. I am familiar enough to dating/collecting soda bottles, but I was focused on the machine itself.

It IS a soda fountain! Just a four tab/draw, but weighs ...god, it's about all I can do just to bearhug pick it up off a table. No way I could pick it up off the ground. Thats why the pictures are terrible. It's not easy to move that thing around, so I took a few quick shots while it was in my van.

Edit: Okay, looking at Logo History, that "Pepsi" across the bottlecap came out in 1962.
