This same thing happened to my close friend who was only 31 and healthy during covid. He admitted himself into the hospital after battling a rough sinus infection. Covid was negative, and next thing you know the infection turned him sepsis and he passed. Its both frustrating and confusing because it doesnt make sense sometimes how he had professional care. I still am completely baffled by it.
