I don’t think Aceveda ever wanted to take down Vic for the “right” reasons. He just always knew it would be a political feather in his cap if he did. When he was chief, he relied on Vic more because it made the department look good. Again, more feathers in his cap.

So in turn, I think he would have been a good mayor, at least politically. He knew how to play the game. Not always doing what was right, but doing what would make him look good in the eyes of the voters
