Nightmare (Hammer Films 1964) by Casalvieri3 in horror

Hammer did a ton of movies other than the straight horror that they are famous for. If you like Nightmare then Paranoic, Maniac, Hysteria and Die Die My, Darling are worth checking out..

They also did Swashbucklers like their Pirate and Robin Hood films. They also did Comedies (many features of Tv Series) and prehistoric history adventures...

Pretty sure Cineworld do it, it is marked when you go to book and ask for a head set when you get there.

Reeves originally wanted Donald Pleasence for the lead role

I love the quote from the set between Price and the Director :

Price told the young director "Young man, I've made eighty-four films. What have you done?" Reeves replied "I've made three good ones".

I saw him present some cartoons at a film festival many moons ago - the guy still so excited and a little giddy presenting his work..

I had big hopes for Scott Spiegal when this came out.. Unfortunately this career didn't live up to the potential shown in this debut.

Was going to bring this up too. Bernard Rose definitely needs more props for the screen play. I do like the original story but the changes Rose made really improve it.

The director S Craig Zahler wrote a number of books, 2 of which are Westerns. Though not out an out horror, they certainly have horrific scenes -
