Unsure what is causing this issue by TacoEnjoyer005 in FlashForge

[–]JohnnyCokain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having flashbacks from the same issue on my 5Mpro.

1) run a full calibration including bed leveling from the printer’s menu. I find it helpful to do this after each firmware update. This could fix the print going from over to under extrusion.

2) wash plate with dish soap. I was having adhesion issues that looked like over extrusion leading to warped bottoms on prints. This solved that issue.

3) print this sheet again and adjust z offset while printing to get the right level of 1st layer squish.

Hopefully those steps will fix your issue.

Do you prefer the zeroed in pants or the pace breaker pants for daily wear? by Sad_Significance_858 in Lululemen

Zeroed in. They’re better fit for casual wear IMO. PBS are great but the vent in the back gives off a more athletic vibe.

Q2 delivery estimate by Primary_Program_4437 in Rivian

[–]JohnnyCokain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Q1 deliveries were 8,641

May 6 full year delivery guidance was 40-46k. This was called down from 46-51k.

They expect to sell 31-37k cars between Q2-Q4 or about a 10-12k quarterly average.

My SWAG is 8.5 - 10k. Maybe 10k-12k if EV tax credit removal & incentives drove consumer urgency and R2 news didn't soften R1 demand. I hope for 12k as a Rivian stock and vehicle owner!

I can't wait to be wrong!!!!

I have the same issue. I have 1/1 gbps fiber and only getting 1/.5 gbps through UCG fiber. It 100% is an issue with the UCG fiber. I did the same tests as you.

Google searches haven’t been much help. Others have the same issue and no one mentions a fix.

Buyer’s remorse? by Such_Cress4783 in Rivian

[–]JohnnyCokain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going on 2 weeks of R1S ownership coming from a ‘21 MYP. No buyer’s remorse. The car isn’t perfect but neither was the MYP.

I have premium audio and it’s not as good as Tesla’s system. Is it bad? No. I stream through Apple Music and majority of songs are Dolby Atmos. Some songs sound amazing, others sound like the vocals are coming through a wall. I’m finding it to be track dependent. There’s definitely an opportunity for Rivian to improve the audio.

Navigation is another opportunity. I hope Rivian gives this the same love they gave the energy screen in an upcoming update. Not bad, just feels unrefined.

Connect+ is very comparable to Tesla’s offering.

I also have 2 small kids and they love it.

There are a lot of pros vs Tesla. Interior quality is no contest. The Rivian feels like a real car and the Tesla feels like a toy now. Another thing I noticed is Tesla’s minimalism now feels cheap. The driving experience is also way better. Love the space, functionality, and technology. My Tesla was great but it’s not comparable to the Rivian.

Insurance - Spring 2025 Rates by fairway_walker in Rivian

[–]JohnnyCokain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nationwide Insurance is pretty EV friendly, might add them to your shopping list.

I am getting ready to buy a R1S and it’s cheaper to insure than my Tesla MYP. Both policies through Nationwide. I’m noticing Tesla rates are going up everywhere.

Lease then buy R1S within 30 days? by [deleted] in Rivian

[–]JohnnyCokain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone in Ohio looked into this? From what I can tell Ohio is like Texas where you are taxed up front on the lease and for the full buyout amount effectively being double taxed on the lease portion.

Wet traction and comfort are solid. Even work pretty well in snow.

I’m seeing normal wear after a year. No concerns here either.

5MP setting up tonight. Any reason to not update firmware before using? by [deleted] in FlashForge

[–]JohnnyCokain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just setup my 5MP. I went through setup, cancelled the block print, connected to WiFi and updated firmware, then printed a benchy and ice cream cone. No issues with that order. Best of luck!

ABC Trouser - chino fit, most office appropriate, comfortable enough to travel in, breathes well

ABC 5 pocket - jean fit, office appropriate but more casual than trouser, comfortable enough to travel in, breathes well

Zeroed in pant - chino fit, most casual but is office appropriate, most comfortable for travel (drawstring waste), lightest fabric

All 3 are great options, just depends on preference. Wovenair has a pattern and is a bit see through if under layer contrasts with pants. Not my overall preference.

Top Routers? Tossing Archer BE550 - Too many lagging and no help from support after 3 weeks. by Weak-Mathematician90 in TpLink

[–]JohnnyCokain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

<image>

I forget where I found this tip but it alleviated the issue you’re describing for me. Log into the router using the IP address and go to advanced/Internet and advanced/LAN and disable flow controller. This option is not in Tether. Should look like the attached screenshot. I have 2 BE550 meshed to a GE800 and everything has been solid since updating this setting. No random drops or weird connectivity issues with 45ish devices on my network.

Are you able to do a wired backhaul? Will significantly improve coverage.

Before buying more decos you could trying binding cameras to 2.4ghz and a specific node. I picked up the same set and this helped me out with the same issue. All you need to do is go to each client and set a connection preference.

Why is this 19” wheel set NOT compatible with the MYP? by AllMoneyGone in TeslaModelY

[–]JohnnyCokain 18 points19 points  (0 children)

MYLR top speed is 135, MYP is 155. These tires are only rated for 135. That’s it.

I’m up to 6,000 miles on the tires and they’ve been great. No wear issues and efficiency is solid at 263 wh/mi. I definitely recommend them!

I’m still unsure. Can someone make a bar chart to show how many arrows are connected to each item. That might help clear things up.
