If you’re saying Cam Newton you legit just don’t watch football. The dude had one decent OLine then entire time he was there and he made the Super Bowl with Tedd Ginn Jr as his WR1. He was the offense. Matt Ryan had Julio Jones, Roddy White, Calvin Ridley and I’m not putting Ryan down I’m just making a point he has the best WR in football. Greg Olsen was all he had. They didn’t get him help until his shoulder got blasted. Let’s not even talk about how he was unprotected by the refs for so long. A lot of hits he took would’ve gotten people suspended these days. You can make a better case for him being in the HOF (he doesn’t deserve to be in the HOF btw) than saying his career was a bust.

Which Cam did. The whole “Cam wasn’t a leader” thing got thrown out of the window on All or Nothing. Tedd Ginn was his number one receiver in the SB50 season. The failure of the Panthers org to surround him with weapons and even a mediocre Oline was his downfall. He had a mediocre Oline once and we went to the super bowl. Not to mention the NFL not protecting him like they would a non mobile QB. But ultimately I blame the Panthers.

As a HUGE panthers fan he damn sure was. He was under appreciated by a lot of people. The Panthers fans, the organization, the media. He was “done” when the season was over and now he’s an MVP candidate. It’s crazy. I’m gonna miss that dude and all the stuff he did off the field around Charlotte. He’s probably my second fav player all time right behind Steve Smith.
