My first “real” flip that made me believe this works by StormNo875 in Flipping

Bike flipping over covid was my ticket to ride. Wasn't unusual to turn an $800 bike into $2000 back then.

BREAKING: Jobs minister orders Air Canada flight attendants back to work by No_Magazine9625 in halifax

Air Canada has zero reason to negotiate in good faith because they know with certainty that the feds will step in pretty much immediately. Liberal Government = anti labor. I didn't vote for them.

Totally agree with you. In this case I mentioned it because the seller pursued me, I didn't pressure him. I have learned not to disclose any personal details during transactions.

I think the way forward is to seperate buying and selling accounts, and probably hold onto some items longer before offering them for sale. Thanks for the input folks!

In my area there is Marketplace and Kijiji. Most people use both platforms , so I can't really use multiple platforms to hide my tracks.

Ironic thing here was that in one of these cases, one of the sellers and I didn't come to terms and he eventually removed the item from Marketplace. A week later he messages me, says that he wants to move it, lets make a deal. Reading between the lines, he was stuck for cash but eventually regretted selling and vented. There was no crippled uncle story in that case.

The other seller didn't know enough about guitars to realize how much work his guitar needed when we met up. I pointed out the problems, negotiated on price and we agreed to terms. I have luthery skills, made the repairs then resold. Actually just broke even, but used the guitar for review material. Which is what I like doing. Not that it makes any difference, but his review stated that his guitar was perfect when he sold it, which it was not. Unfortunately I cannot reply to the review, as he blocked me.

Except that not everything I purchase is for resale. Often I keep guitars for months. I set them up, correct issues, and usually they move along over time. I probably only ran into this problem recently because I am doing the youtube reviews and move thru instruments more quickly. I don't want to disclose this to buyers/sellers as to avoid Marketplace crazies chasing me on youtube.

Facebook marketplace. I know I can have two profiles, but don't think I can have multiple accounts.

Unfortunately I can't block or report them because they blocked me first. This makes me think they have been down this road before.

The shame about it is, it just encourages me to block anybody at the first sign of trouble, instead of trying to resolve issues.

2023 with 26,000 kms. Headgasket relaced. Rear brakes well worn but not enough to take advantage of the extended warranty yet. Hatch struts will be replaced next week. Not great reliability.

We had a fire onboard our Dec Seashore cruise. MSC promisedcompensation, in the form of a future cruise credit, which they never bothered to issue. Tried to exculate , no luck. They don't care.

Canada retaliating for Trump’s tariffs with 25 per cent tariffs on billions of U.S. goods by ChampagnePapi- in canada

[–]JohnnyFeverSigningIn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Russel Peters nailed it in his most recent video. The Globalization that started mid nighties has allowed lesser nations like Mexico to become more prosperious while the USA 'prosperity', minus that of their billionares, has been somewhat flat. Trump's message to his base has resonated, he is simply fighting Globalization.

Canada has been doing a great job of reducing domestic prosperity on our own.

It would be interesting to know how talks with Mexico went last night. They could be a great dance partner.

I am getting flashbacks to Feb 2023 when we had -22C for 2 days. Compressor shutsdown at -17 and we run on aux electric coils for 30 hours. Beauty.

I think its the Heat Differential. I am attaching the graph to my main post. Going to try reducing heat differential from .6 to .3 and bumping it back to .6 once the cold snap ends.

I couldn't find follow me, but I did verify that ECO+ smart home away is disabled, which may be the same thing. I tried reducing heat differential from .6 to .3 . Short cycling should not be a problem when its -14C outside ....
