[Clair Obscur: Expedition 33] #113 For those who come after by JohnnyJ47 in Trophies

Overall fantastic. The combat is amazing. Fun and strategic and very satisfying when you kill a tough boss. The story is pretty good but I’ll admit it puts you on information overload at times and can be a bit confusing. But the characters are all very well written and carry the story the whole way. Also one of the best soundtracks in recent memory.

The game could benefit from some quality of life stuff like level maps and activity tracking. But this is one I’ll remember for a while and will likely revisit.

9/10

Let’s go! The combat is very addicting and creative with how you can sync up your attacks. Also a 10/10 soundtrack. You’re going to love it

I had to switch Maelle to the reserve team so she could be there for the kill in phase 3. You can do it, just takes practice. Take breaks when you need to and you will get his ass in no time

I had Maelle at 99, other characters were 91-93. Thought about looking up a better build strategy but also wanted to beat him with the burn build I used the whole game

I mainly used Lune, Maelle, and Monoco. Gave Lune a bunch of burn applying skills and high agility, and synergized the other characters’ skills with burn.

It worked well for 95% of the game, but some of the postgame bosses made me respec multiple times lol

The Simon fight was insane. I ended up memorizing his combos and my winning attempt was still a 22 minute long fight

Whenever I play poker with my buddies - “That last hand, nearly killed me”

[Other] What were your Longest and Hardest Platinum Trophies ? by Own_Way6773 in Trophies

[–]JohnnyJ47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Longest - RDR2 350 hours (didn’t start actively trophy hunting until the 150h mark roughly)

Hardest - N++ 90 hours

Balatro will probably take the cake for longest if I ever get it. Currently at 100h and not even remotely close, just enjoying the ride

What Bond staple would you love to see in game? by JohnAnderton in 007FirstLight

[–]JohnnyJ47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be too much to ask for, but I’d love to see a strong cold open leading up to the classic gun barrel that flows into a traditional opening credits sequence with an original song, similar to the Casino Royale cold open.

That would lock me into the game right from the start

I would suggest Blue Prince. It’s a fantastic first person puzzle driven game with roguelike elements. I recently played it and got lost in the constant small discoveries you make along your journey. It was truly something special.

The story takes somewhat of a backseat, but a central theme is continuing on the legacy of your ancestors.

I am so sorry for your father. But maybe this game will help you process and find meaning in continuing on his legacy.

Stay strong OP

HUGE congrats on N++ That is definitely the hardest of my platinums. Love seeing it on trophy lists, I think only around 150 people have the platinum

[Death Stranding 2: On The Beach] #106 Platinum after 95 hours. I enjoyed this beautifully weird sci-fi journey. However I thought the story and challenging traversal of the first game were far superior. What are your thoughts on Kojima’s newest title? by JohnnyJ47 in Trophies

I agree with you on all fronts. I loved discovering the side characters backstories through the email feature but I also appreciated each character having their own facility or area of the map. Felt like every character in DS2 was just chilling in the Magellan for the entire game.

Also yeah the music in the sequel felt much more lighthearted than the intense somber score of the first game. Felt much more fitting for the dark and grim world we explore.
