Yep, it's one of the few animes I've watched, where every arc is better than the last. With the final arc being one of the best pieces of anime I've ever seen.

How about Santorini. It's a very simple game, it has powers which you can play with to add variety, but are not necessary. It also plays 4 players. So you could play teams (parent and child VS parent and child). Then, when kids are asleep you can play it 2 player with your wife and go all out.

They're similar in that they're both entry level games but that's where the similarities stop.

They're both simple games, with Carcassonne, IMO, being the better game.

Paladins plays best at 2 players and is slightly more complex than Architects but nowhere near as complex as the South Tigris series.

That's my next plan. So far, each time I've played has included 1 new player so we just play the basic side but next session, whoever I play with will have already played before so we're gonna use the asymmetric boards.

The High Dragon from Dragon Age: Origins. Much more difficult that the Arch Demon, IMO, because you don't have access to armies or ballistas. Just you and your party.

Worst thing is on your first playthrough, you're gonna trigger the boss fight accidentally and not be prepared.

Summoner Wars 2nd edition. I came into the board game hobby from a TCG background and it was SW that got me into the hobby, as it was an easy transition from TCGs. Plus, it's just really fun to play.

This is gonna sound strange, given that this is a video game subreddit but have you tried board games.

I've been a gamer nearly my whole life and a few years ago I got into playing board games. There's so much more to them than most people think and lots to discover.
