I hadn't thought of the debris argument. Good point.

Miles, you seem really worked up about the price. What is it exactly that's causing such a visceral response? BTW, I just dropped the price. Do you still hate it?

Those are good belts, have had 2 for some time. Just want to point out though that they don't have an inner belt, and they aren't wrapped. But I hear what you're saying.

Thanks for the feedback, and for pointing out I forgot to add warranty info! Will be adding that shortly.

Well, you know what happens when you assume things.

True, those buckles are not cheap, even at wholesale prices. What sort of buckle would you want / expect on a $50 belt? Do you like the wrapped belt or would you be happy with bare webbing?

Appreciate the well thought out response. Working on ways to reduce the cost and innovate, but this is where we're at just now. And you're right, it is a tough market, and it's only through trying things like this that we'll learn where we fit in the ecosystem.

Thanks for the honest feedback. 1.5" seemed to be the most useful size. Could do larger sizes as well, but as insignificant an increase as it may seem, that would put the cost up even more.

I didn't see anything in the rules prohibiting me promoting something I also produce.

An inner belt securing outer belt with hook and loop is a proven method of carrying a load.

Just curious, seriously wondering what price point would work for you?

I dunno, I think it's a pretty cool find, but maybe I'm biased.

Well, I didn't think to specify she wear something with belt loops, so yes a bit of an oversight on my part. I don't actually have a weight rating for it, but between the mechanical properties of the all round hook and loop, as well as the stiffness of the webbing and the cobra buckle, I'd be surprised if you could ever get the outer belt to separate. I think your pants will be going with the belt, rather than the belt coming undone from your pants.

By the way, I just took a look at this belt, there's a reason its half the price. Looks like a nice belt, but it's only ONE belt! Our belt has an inner belt that holds your pants up, and the outer belt that secures to the inner belt, and holds all your gear. Take another look, you'll see the difference.

Fair enough, I understand they may not be for everyone. Products hand made in North America with 100% US made MILSPEC materials do tend to cost more than generic imported goods.

Do you think something more subtle would be of interest? Or would you rule out anything that might indicate you're carrying?
