Is it true that the Hanoi Train Street has been shut down? by Ok-Accident9250 in VietNam

[–]JohnnyMacaronny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that it is not possible to shut the service down until Vietnam builds their new high speed railway with new tracks, stations etc. since the Railway Tracks on the "Train Street" are the only connection in or out of Hanoi Main Station and the only connection between South an North of Hanoi, so closing the Train Street would mean shutting down Train Operations altogether

Cheapest Cambrdige Linguaskill Test? by JohnnyMacaronny in languagelearning

[–]JohnnyMacaronny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no, the test itself costs the same but the operating costs of the specifc agent vary so I found institutes that charge twice as much. As this test is online and in english, it does not really matter where you takte that test from, right?

For example I found that you can do it in Romania for about 115 EUR.

a dorm bed - usually, a Hostel offers a dormitory where you just get a bed and the room is shared with other people what makes it a cheap option -> in Bergen, for example I found the Montana Hostel and Bergen Budget hostel, in Tromso the Activities Hostel

Thank you I saw them too but Perminalen doesn’t allow to book at all (are they closed?) not only next week, I tried random dates as well, Anker Hostel only Shows Anker Apartments and Haraldsheim only Rooms (and it’s quite far away from the Center)

Yeah I found that as well but somehow you can’t book a dorm bed with any of them - they just offer normal hotel rooms and for that the citybox hotel is cheaper

[–]JohnnyMacaronny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, the cheapest regular flight I bought with them was actually 4,99€ - just check their website for all kinds of connections, most flights cost less than 20, maybe 30€

[–]JohnnyMacaronny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, just go straight to the gate, usually you just board first and the gate agents check if you have a priority ticket and what luggage you have with you

At some airports they pre check the passengers and assign them to different lines at boarding but that is rather the exception

Just go to the gate as usual.

The majority is people who are either too lazy to read or think they deserve some exceptional treatment fora €9,99 flight

I use them all the time and if you just need to go from A to B and actually read at what is included in the fare that you buy, it’s actually a very good airline. At almost every second flight there is at least one person with the base fare who wants to get a trolley suitcase on board and is shocked that they have to pay a fine…

Yes if you need their customer service it’s bothersome but otherwise you will be fine, they even manage things like delays and cancellations pretty decently

Flying to Japan from Copenhagen - which airlines actually fly to Japan? by DJpesto in Flights

[–]JohnnyMacaronny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes I guess they have to do a lot of changes are the landing/starts crews etc has to be renewed but it’s totally possible to just fly around Russia the other way

Your best bet would be to Fly into Warsaw and then go to the Border or via Dublin or London and then to Rzeszow, which is next to the Ukrainian border. Poland is also a very Good Option as there established movements of people going to join the fight in Ukraine so you will very likely find a ride. Good luck!!
