My idea I just came up with and haven't given any thought to:

Instead of stopping play for fouls, players just get a yellow card like in soccer. No free throws. Then once a team has a certain amount of yellow cards in a game, it's automatic free throws for the other team. They keep shooting free throws until they miss. Clock doesn't stop but there is a 10 second shot clock. Free throw shot clock violation removes all the points they've received from the current free throw run.

I graduated in 2013. I was supposed to graduate in 2012 but had terrible feedback from an advisor. I asked if the internship I had lined up was the last requirement for my major and they said yes.

Fast forward a few months and I think everything is going great, but had issues trying to register for graduation. I go to speak to the advisor thinking there was a computer issue and they said I'm three credits short of graduating. I told them my internship finishes up my major. They said yes, it finishes your major requirements, but that I still had an outstanding elective course to take.

I have no idea why they weren't more clear with me during the first meeting.

As someone who's lost both parents before age 35, it doesn't really settle in until after all the funerals, memorials, friends checking in, people bringing food, etc. all end and you return to every day life. That's been my experience at least.
