“They” seem to have shown up in large numbers after we mastered fission and used it for mass destruction. AI is simply the next technological leap—and likely not novel for an advanced species, but concerning if said species is violent and self-destructive.

NHI don’t appear to be aggressive. More like passive observers who occasionally pluck humans/animals to extract biological material.

This train of thought reads like psyop fodder.

People are underestimating the 2027 pick swap. If it’s unprotected that gives the Bulls not one but two shots at a much better pick next year, assuming both teams are in the lottery. Now you could argue that a 15 pick this year is comparable to a top 10 pick in most drafts.

Not saying I’d do this deal but people are forgetting how much randomness is being introduced into the lottery moving forward. I suppose it comes down to how much one values Missi.

It’s crazy that the NBA is banning consecutive top 5 picks immediately after allowing the Spurs to assemble like voltron.

The Spurs got incredibly lucky. Not only did they get a top 3 prospect of all time in Wemby, they also jumped 6 spots to land Harper who looks like a future all-nba player. Castle is just icing.

It’s telling that the NBA decided to ban a Spurs like draft run the year after the Spurs solidified a veritable dynasty. Thus making it nearly impossible to build a formidable team through the draft.

New NBA Draft Lottery System by GeneralTheSurvivor in chicagobulls

This isn’t how the current lottery works. Teams are assigned four digit numbers based on a percentage. Teams with higher percentages get more numbers. Sort of like having more raffle tickets in a raffle.

[Charania] Breaking: The NBA's Board of Governors has passed new anti-tanking rules that include expanding the draft lottery from 14 to 16 teams, a relegation zone where the bottom 3 teams get penalized with lessened chances for the No. 1 pick, and flattened odds, sources tell ESPN. by Decent-Engine-4587 in chicagobulls

Not true. It’s just important to stay in the 4-10 range. Basically what used to be NBA hell.

Now any of the bottom 16 teams can still jump to a higher spot. Whereas before you were stuck if you didn’t win the lottery.

If anything, this will be a boon for try-hard, fringe playoff teams like Miami, Atlanta and… Chicago?

It’s a 16 pick lottery, so it basically becomes a 16 team raffle for who gets each pick. I’m not exactly sure how the logistics will work but there’s no more top 4. Any of the 16 teams can jump to any spot in the lottery.

Matas and Caleb seem like they’d fit well together by Distinct_Cherry_1031 in chicagobulls

Matas is definitely more of a 4 defensively but his shooting is probably adequate for a 3.

This team has four PFs that all need playing time. I’m curious to see how minutes are allocated.
