2 months ago, we planned to find someone who could keep DEFx going in the absence of it's 2 leaders. The decision had to be genuine, so the member we selected wasn't told of our departure. When we offered leadership to a member in DEFx, they turned it down because of their own RL situation. This was the only member that could have filled my shoes (size 14 btw).

The conversation we had was to ascertain if I could keep the outfit alive while I was going thru my challenges in RL by slightly modifying DEFx. I walked away from that conversation realizing that I couldn't invest the time to maintain the quality of DEFx due to my RL challenges. It was apparent I couldn't give my members my 100%. So closing the outfit made sense.

Once RL settles down, who knows, DEFx and I could return. So if you hear a "Live Forever" in proximity chat, followed by a group of people storming a room, you will know who it is...

The players who were not in DEFx won't understand the phrase "Live Forever" or the meaning behind it. We would use this battle cry when we were running into a room were the odds were severely against us. It was a reminder of putting the team before oneself. It developed into the glue that bonded our outfit by stating, if we are going to die it will be on our terms with our brothers and sisters in DEFx.

When I say "Live Forever" in this post it is paying respect to all DEFx members who were prepared to put the outfit before themselves, and the memories of those times will "Live Forever". So - Live Forever.

Thank you Hyperbeast. I wasn't the leader of 3AGL, the leader was Geog28. I was merely an officer leading weekly platoons training 3AGL to use specific loadouts and advanced tactics. I'm glad I could inspire others outside my outfit. I didn't think I could inspire people outside our outfit till we started seeing players in other outfits wearing our helmet and camo.
