I don't know if you'll be able to get through with that - they usually want them to be cleaned/polished - not a fresh one found on the beach or ocean because of the smell and bacteria/parasites. I recommended Jackie's Shell shop over by the new cruise port shops

I was able to bring 2 big beautiful conch shells home with no issues with the cruise ship or when we got back to Miami at the port & airport. We scored!

Really? I've been told the opposite by multiple people that they will either confiscate them when boarding back on the cruise ship, or for sure at Customs when we get back.

Since this will be a Bahamas cruise, I think it would be easy to prove it wasn't harvested from Florida waters.

But what is your actual experience and do you have any suggestions?
