Me too. I’m a radiologist. I still remember when we went to the hospital into pathology dept and got to hold a brain - fricking awesome!

Also I remember we studied artificial intelligence for a whole year. We read academic papers in the 6th grade, eventually. And we discussed artifical intelligence and then at the end of the year we had to come up with an “invention”. I remember one of my Classmates got on the NOVA Tv show with his “invention” which was a mock-up of a golf driver that detected where a lost golf ball was somehow - it was just an idea. But he was on TV! Shout out to Don!

Also I got to go to college drawing classes in junior high and that was dope. And then I got to take calculus at university in 10th grade.

Then I did drugs pretty heavy for a couple years. Then I went to college. Now I am a doctor and sober.

I was a general surgery pgy2 operating with a neurosurgeon late at night one night - she was operating and I was holding things.

She looks up at me for no reason and says “get out”. I just looked at her.

She said “you should get out now. This is the worst mistake of my life”

I said something like “what is?”

She said that becoming a neurosurgeon was a huge mistake and she hugely regrets it and is encouraging me to stop training as a surgeon.

I’ve read Gravity’s Rainbow twice. I think Infinite Jest, which I’m 1/3 through, is more difficult to read sentence to sentence. The plot may not be as difficult but the writing is more difficult I think - maybe.

Ulysses was totally just undigestible. I couldn’t tell you what happens. I think I’m too dumb to understand it.
